Good grief! Ok, ok, this is actually good! Good to know all this! It's only one game, but…the nature of his mistakes is such that it's clear Moore is not pro ready and the Jets cannot draft him. No way. We'd be much better off trading out of that spot for even more picks and refill the roster in prep for a QB the next year. Mendoza is leagues above and we're not gonna get him. All and all, better to see all these issues with Moore now.
Moore has a lot of talent but he’s not a top 5 prospect. I would draft the best player available at #2 unless a team offers me a haul. We can grab Trinidad or Simpson later in the draft. To be honest Simpson to me is just as good as Moore but he was on a much weaker team. There is no game changing QB in this draft at least from what anyone can see. Mendoza is good but look at his team, his WR’s make incredible catches because he throws the ball high often. I say we grab as much draft capital and talent as we can although Glenn might lose his job regardless.
Please, don't trade for Kyler Murray!!!!
How many dart throw lower pick QBs actually pan out? Yes, it happens. But, it's just not a plan.
Where fucked
Rams trade with them they need a new guy to replace stafford in the future
Not drafting a 6'0 QB at #2 – never thought Moore was a good match – AG and Mougey are not going to see any positive results the 1st year – he has to sit so what's the point?
Brady gonna screw the jets again
From an organizational standpoint, the Jets should be thinking big-picture: flip the number 2 pick into more draft assets, load up on playmakers, and take a developmental QB later in the draft. This roster needs depth and talent more than it needs a forced “franchise savior.”
Moore is an interesting prospect, but realistically he probably needs another year in college. You can understand why he’d come out now — this quarterback class isn't stacked, and he may never be ranked this high again — but he’s closer to a Sam Darnold trajectory than a plug-and-play NFL starter. He’s young, he needs a professional environment around him, and he likely needs a real two-year runway to mature. And let’s be honest: the Jets haven’t exactly been the ideal development lab for young quarterbacks.
From a coaching perspective, the staff can’t walk into next season and start 0-7 again. They need to show grit, creativity, and, most importantly, a plan to actually put points on the board. That’s where things get shaky with Glenn — there isn’t much on his résumé besides an 0-7 start and shipping out blue-chip players. Hard to plant your flag and say, “Yeah, that’s what I built.”
Overall, this isn’t the ecosystem you drop a raw number-2 QB into. The smarter move is strengthening the roster, building out a stable foundation, and then bringing in a young quarterback when the environment can actually support his growth.
Moore stay in school
it takes less balls to trade the pick and build the team than to pick moore at #2 and sit him
saying this and I keep saying drop the quarterback should go get a bridge do something in 2027 Jets fans have no patience. This is exactly why it’s always the same cycle that keeps repeating itself the same song on the radio station. It’s nothing new. bet you if they did things different they would see better results 💯

Why not kid from Penn State
Anything short of the “realistic jet fan” approach is putting us right back into the same cycle. The reality is, no player other than Mendoza would be worthy of the 2nd pick in this draft. If we had the 5th pick people wouldn’t be freaking out, and we would go ahead and get a player that could help build the roster outside of the QB position. No issue with throwing a dart on a QB with a later pick but every single year there are game changers that fall under the radar. To swing and miss on Dante Moore would be a huge waste of assets. We need to go and take a player that can help build the roster and accept that we are going to suck again. Unfortunately for us this class is weak when we needed it to be generational, but this is our look. This years all about seeing what AG is and going completely all in on 2027 draft. We have been dying for a competitive roster, but this is the sad reality of where we are.
2028? Maybe?
Maybe it's a good thing – possibly now we can grab Dante and / or Ty and / or Trini, hire a Bruce Arians / Tom Moore type of QB whisperer, and just bridge with Kirk for a season or two. A great QB room, back up options who are young + developing + tradable for more picks next year or down the road.
This is the badlands I’ve been waiting for
Go for Trinidad….but make sure you have a good experienced back up. Mac Jones saved the season for the 49ers.
Im happy he played terrible in hope the Jets use their two first round picks to beef up this roster.
You draft the best defensive player at 2 and Chambliss at 16! Moore ain’t it!!!
I want to know why anyone who has actually watched these kids all year and I mean the whole game. Not the highlights. Are surprised a 20 year old that played qb 1 year of college ball absolutely stunk . Moore is not ready and might never be ready. And his people know it but they are counting on some team being desperate this year. Next year he would be the 4th or 5th QB. Same reason Simpson declared. Stay away from both.
Retaining Glenn was another nail in the coffin. Doesnt matter what you do now. See you in 2027.
Smash those vitamins, men!
I commented on another Badlands that I was not a fan of Moore at all. Not only is he not ready, he’s extremely overrated. I would absolutely not draft him at two. Take another great player, and draft a QB later to develop. Simpson and Chambliss and Beck are better than Moore.
BUILD THE DEFENSE!!!
Dante looked bad, 1000%. You cannot refer to one game to form your opinion on a prospect, especially when everybody has said that he needs to sit a year anyway.
I’m indifferent in what this team does. Trading back and filling out the team to wait for a QB in 2027 makes sense to me. Moving forward and drafting Moore with the intent to sit him makes sense as well.
Trade back with Cleveland get shedeur and there two firsts
If the Jets pick Moore at 2, even at 16, hell even at 33 or 44, I might jump off a bridge. Most overrated QB since Jamarcus Russell.
I'm having an extremely hard time getting excited about any of these prospects, including Mendoza. I know that's a ridiculous thing to say. I don't watch a ton of college football, but all of the games I've seen of all of these guys have been mediocre. Not saying I could do better. I can't, I'm almost 30 and I do very different sports. But I've seen Simpson, Mendoza, Moore, and Chambliss play. I wasn't impressed by any of them. I honestly feel a little stupid saying that, given how high people are on Mendoza. But that's how I feel, I guess that's why I'm not a draft analyst
I agree 100% with this take guys. Trade down, take a shot at Chambliss or Simpson, stock the roster with talent in other areas of need, so the new QB has a foundation in 2027. And whatever happens with Glenn happens. But in that scenario, the team comes out more ready to win. And a hard no on Murray.
If we could show any improvement, on the defensive and offensive sides without a rookie QB, I would be totally fine with that. If we’re competitive, we win a couple games we have a number eight pick or seven pick next year and have competent coaching and competitive playing, but not enough talent on our roster. I’ve actually be OK with that.
BELIEVE YOUR EYES CHAMBLISS IS GOING TO BE A SPECIAL PLAYER IN THE NFL!! ITS NOT QUANTUM PHYSICS!!!
I’m afraid free agency is the way to go here he was seeing ghost 😥
If the Jets are going to tank the 2026, can we try to acquire Winston or Flacco to watch a competent/entertaining offense?
Still taking Moore at 2 and having him sit behind Mariota for most of the year
If the Jets are smart. And we know they care not.
They offer 2 and 16 to Cincy for Joe Burrow…and focus on supporting cast .
They fire their coach now and find a credible staff for your new QB.
But they won't and loser jets fans will say I'm crazy.
BTW…it not crazy to try to get some best coaches of all time to lead your team.
Good job fellas, very good sports talk
