1. Letting Montgomery go is crazy! You need the power, you need to give Gibbs a breather every once in a while. What happens when Gibbs gets banged up or God forbid injured.. Who takes that spot. Having both of those back there last year was awesome, no real answers why they went away from that scheme. Sure wish the press would push some harder questions sometines on these coaches. Seems like they cower for some odd reason, like they need to kneel at door.

2. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that losing 3 interior O linemen,
   including an elite pro bowl Center is what doomed the running game.
   That unit went from top 3 last season to, I would argue 17th rated in the NFL

5. It doesn't matter what back u have if u have no o line to create holes and openings ur not gonna get much on the ground. Absolutely it's great to have a tandem in the backfield but I feel like we could get so much for monty and still have Gibbs. I'm looking at Las Vegas and seeing if they would give Crosby for some help on d or a draft pick for some more o line help.

7. Losing Monty would be a huge loss. I know there are other RBs available but Monty fits our culture. You want to keep that. – you have to keep him.

8. John Morton didn't use them right.. he was supposed to start Montgomery and let him wear down the defense with his bruising run style, then put in Gibbs and let him burn the defense with his speed,(third and forth quarter)

19. Getting rid of Montgomery is a bad idea. He had 700 yards and 8 tds despite a reduced role. There are teams who didn't have one back get those numbers, let alone 2. Getting rid of Montgomery will shorten Gibbs career. This season Gibbs proved he can be taken out of games. Montgomery can soften defense late in the game. I don't think Gibbs gives you that without getting hurt.

20. Why let David Montgomery go than Gibbs get hurt now we have no running back doesn't make sense…… The other running back Vakki is not the answer haven't even done anything as a running back cant stay healthy

28. A lot of our fan base over values Montgomery and so does he. Monty isn't a starting caliber running back and Gibbs is a star running back. Monty wasn't used as much because the Oline sucked and so the holes weren't there for him. He's only effective if he gets a big hole to run through allowing him to get up to speed. Only once he's up to speed can he run over someone. Trade him for a veteran DE or O lineman

29. The Lions have clear needs on the oline and dline as well as in the secondary. I say trade Montgomery, Tesla and a pick and see if you can get Trey Hendricks or even better Myles Garrett. If that doesn't work, use those assests to upgrade the oline

34. If DMo does it will hurt. Gibbs OL or not can’t do it all. Morton and Campbell failed to utilize the best duo in the game. Johnson builds a great duo with two backs who are not close to our guys skill. We saw what happens THIS year when DMo is absent. It ain’t good. EVERYTHING in our O depends of the run. So yea let’s break up the best duo in the game because we had two play callers this year who were incapable of using them like our last OC did. That makes total sense. Damn! 36. Monty didn’t get touches when Gibbs was struggling. You guys are clowns thinking we don’t need him still. Clearly last year Monty was fine and he didn’t have much less yards this year than last year.

37. The oline is the main reason the Lions didn't make the playoffs. Hiring Morton was a complete disaster which is on Brad and Dan. And once again, the injuries to the defense, mainly in the secondary is another reason. Brad better focus on oline, secondary, and get McDaniel hired as OC!

41. Just David Montgomery is a more consistent running back finishes. Forward, always gets the 3 yards. Alright he's also a better pass blocker. Gibbs, sometimes finishes backwards. He's a track star.Two out of ten are home runs
