No way they move trocheck unless they get absurd value back. He has 3 more yrs at 5.625mill. If they were to move him then they would be blowing up the rangers. A team with fox 27 at 9.5mill cancer miller at 8 32yrs old, schneider 24 cuylle 23 just signed gavrikov, over rated lafreniere 24 at 7.45mill. Shesterkin 11.5mill 1 of the top goalies panarin exp 11.6mill contract. If they move trochecl they r moving half of these guys r of which have a full nmc then theres #6 mika zibanejad at 8.5 mill. This is a reach and a half until the rangers decide to blow it all to hell as much as i do like trocheck.
Not seeing the New York teams do full scale re-build as of now. Very unlikely to trade 3+ yrs contracts at good price unless something going wrong personally.

I'll be torn and ecstatic at the same time because there is no way you're getting ANYONE of substance in a trade this season, without giving up someone we've all grown fond of. BUT! I don't know if I necessarily care what it takes if it means getting the right players. If you're Billy G, and serious about winning now – you HAVE to go get Giroux and Tkachuk out of OTT. Yurov/Brodin/Heidt(Or Haight – one or the other, not both)/another prospect?/2028 1st/another pick? – For B. Tkachuk/Giroux
Cost of doing business. If they can get by without moving Brodin, even better but idk if/how MN makes any trade this season without losing any of the top D core. Fans will want to remember, Minnesota is NOT the only team hunting and NOT the only team with cap space. I'd anticipate its going to cost anyone making moves a bit extra. You see and hear so many fans hoping and asking for this guy and that guy but no one ever throws in who they're willing to give up to get said players.
Pinto or Cozens would depend on the package.

I dont see any major moves from anybody out east right now. The East in an absolute log-jam in terms of the standings and NOBODY is even remotely close to being out of the playoff hunt. Meaning, nobody has waved the white flag as a seller, yet. I think we'll know more after the Olympic Scrimmages…….With that being said, I do believe Billy is going to attempt another big swing with Jack Hughes most likely the top target, and a few others rumored. Personally, I would kick the tires on Geekie or Cozens…. If a deal happens, I think we'll lose some combination of Yurov, Strammel, Jiricek, 2027 1st or other picks, Lambos or Hunt.

If they actually want to get Jack Hughes, they are absolutely not going to do it mid season. Especially with how injured he's been. If that actually happens it'll be in the off season. Jack has a lot of contract left and NJ has zero reason to entertain any offers right now unless someone really wants to over pay.
I really don't like the idea of trading Yurov. We could afford to trade Buium because we're deep at defense and we got Quinn Hughes in return.
We are not deep at center, so losing one just makes that worse, even if you bring in a better player. And there's no Quinn Hughes level centers being shopped.
Maybe we won't have a choice but to trade Yurov but I hope we don't.
His career shooting % is whack. He better be amazing at faceoffs and defense for me to be interested in Trocheck
Malkin and Panarin is what we need.
You need a big tall puck handler, faster than 80 percent of league. Defense is not out consern, we need scoring and a shootout puck handler.
