Dallas Cowboys Draft Priorities Revealed? || Trust The Tape
After the Dallas Cowboys end of season press conference, we may have a little better feel for exactly how they view their roster. The two biggest concerns they have and how they can be filled in this episode of Trust the Tape with Bryan Broaddus and Jeff Cavanaugh.

2:06 Broaddus as Doc Brown would do massive numbers online
Brian, i appreciate you being honest about lane tampering.
Smu scheme lol
Wake up guys. 12 of the 14 playoff QB’s are first round draft picks. We have to upgrade from Dak sooner than later. He’s good against average to below average teams and below average against good teams.
Jeff, I think you're correct about Bane. Obviously he's talented, and can make an impact at the next level.
I disproportionately weigh past rushing ability more than run setting when I'm looking at DE's, and while Bane is tough to block, he struggles to wrap up quarterbacks that move around in the pocket. There's so many examples of him taking a bad angle or just missing the wrap up. And he's comparatively weak versus the rest of the upper end of this class at chasing down quarterbacks who are trying to escape.
So I actually have him as edge 3 in this class.
Stephan wants Sonny Styles. LB was his 1st mention. And then a DB. He did not mention Edge. Sign Clowny and maybe Hendrickson?
Maybe see what Bain does in the championship game before you move him down your board!!
Super Chats ruin shows!!!!!
Arvell Reese hasn’t dominated a game in like 8 weeks🤣. Most players don’t dominate every game. It doesn’t make sense. Outside of the special, special talents, college de’s don’t look close to dominate in every game.
Couple questions for you gentlemen:
1. Wasn’t Donovan supposed to be the bendy pass rush guy? Are we off him already? Misevaluation or just how he was coached last season.
2. Forgot the second question, I’ll come back to it if I remember.
Whom ever becomes our new DC, would Sean Lee be a good LB coach?
Mullet 😂
Seems like Shotty prefers best 5 approach for o-line. How would we feel about drafting a Center and moving Beebe to LG if they serious about trying Tyler Smith at LT
If there was ever a year to be captain trade down it’s this year. They have no second or third rounders. And they need talent. I’d look to trade down both 1st rounders to try and pick up a couple more picks in the 2nd and/or 3rd rounders. That would give them at least 4 picks in the top 3 rounds
Jeff, how is Sky Moore doing? You wouldn't get off that bone. He's "okay".
We need to get Jacob Rodriguez and Caleb Downs or David Bailey if Caleb Downs is not available
Did Bain draft stock drop?
Just a tidbit on Bain last night, he played with the flu
Did you watch him against Utah?
Oh yeah!
He didn't play against Utah lmao 😂😂😅
Jeff doesn’t respond on Twitter
Omg Bryan thank you for dedicating that small section for us UNT alums you expressed our exact feelings lol this was the best season ever I went to every home game, now I’m left super salty lol I’m sure Tulane, USF and Memphis are in the same boats
Jeff, go back and watch the tape please. OLE Miss left tackle should have been called for hold at least 4 times. Yes, Bryan Ole Miss got rid of the ball fast. Bain still 1 to me.
Aggie here. Bain didn’t do much against our LT Trey Zuhn who is a good player. He had his wins against our RT (who is not a good player).
I personally dont think College Football should be pay to win
Go get the bag. It will set you and your family up for life. However, if you are going to the next level and continue to switch schools and then get drafted, are you motivated to put the work, time, and effort and commitment to be the best at your respected position. The NFL product will become lacking of competitive and motivated players.
Edge, Linebacker, Corner and Safety are the priority. There shouldn't be any question about that. But thats what free agency and trades are for. For the draft they need to go BPA. If its a receiver, TE, O line, Running Back than that's the pick.
Bain only makes the plays that come to him. Lacks range
What would be the compensation if you tagged and traded Pickens? And would a team actually do it?
I don't trust any of these DE I'd rather have Trey H and draft BPA that falls to you with the 12 pick
What if Downs and Bailey are there at 12? Do we fix the back end or front 7.
Someone tell this guy it’s 2026 we don’t need his soundboard for his name and Brian’s every time.
The really bad thing about the insane money in college sports, is that it's the fellow students with insane tuition fees who pays.
Draft best on board, target in FA and trust in our new DC staff.
