Whatever you want to say about the organization, they gave him a max contract, have had to juggle the roster due to constant injuries and pretty much supported him all along the way. It's natural for management to assess the players for the long haul. Certainly, Kon Kneuppel has given them a lot to think about. Also, go back and look at the games he's played this season and how many assists went to Kon. Think you'll be surprised.
