Hawks did have interest in AD but never offered anything or made Zacc available in trades with other teams.

In fact Marc confirms NO team made any offer for Anthony Davis.

  6. Of course. They’d been working on trading Trae for weeks, and finally did it to completely remove the threat of him opting in to his player option and free up cap space. It would make zero sense to then turn around and take on AD’s nasty ass contract which would completely fly in the face of the ‘optionality’ that Onsi’s been preaching.

    Edit: Not only does he say that no one put in a formal offer to his knowledge, he says that the Hawks never put Zacc on the table and have repeatedly pushed back behind the scenes on the idea that they ever offered him in the first place, and that trade talks never got to the point of making an offer.

  15. There was ZERO chance the hawks were ever going to trade a 20 year old starter quality wing on a rookie scale contract for a 32 year old max contract injury prone center who is not an mvp caliber player.

  17. Yeah it was ridiculous from the start you can tell he was either paid to do it by his network, the mavs or ad agents. It was foolish to even think of getting ad, his contract is disgusting and his injury history even worse.

    Which I want to note there were a concerning amount of ppl posting in the hawks reddit that wanted ad here, posting trades of zac and porzingis and kennard.

    And sure enough he gets injured thank God we didnt do what they said. imagine if they actually did the trade and he got injured the reddit would have exploded in anger. Would have been the biggest fumble in the history of the franchise.

  18. There is interest, there are some discuss, but nothing has been made yet, and AD with another injury. It’s not surprising that no team is interested right now.
