It’s not just the Knicks! What is going on?! Pistons losing to the Clippers, Pacers crushing the Heat, and OKC winning by 1?! About the only game that makes sense today is the Spurs v Celtics. Is this the usual pattern in January? Basically everything is upside down. Maybe just a hopeful Saturday night view of what’s happening with our knickerbockers rn. 😂👀

I was explaining to my 10-yo today that I think it’s intentional, for the brackets that will play out in April, but idk… at least with the Celtics loss we are back to #2 in the east. I also think there’s some merit to managing performance to optimize for a peak in April/may, but still so emotional to watch and I miss the energy I get from their good games! Maybe Hart coming back will give us what we need.

  1. We’ve been fortunate to still be in striking distance of the top seed. But we need to be taking care of our business as soon as possible.

  2. This isn’t really a crazy night lol. OKC been mid for weeks now and Pistons are 6-4 their last 10. Too many Knicks fans live in a sports bubble where they only keep up with the home team and don’t realize every team goes through slumps

  3. This is the dog days of the NBA. I feel like teams will turn a corner after the ASB, but right now it’s just about trying to stack wins and stay healthy.

  4. I mean Detroit was missing their two best players. Cavs bulls and spurs are all toss up games. What exactly is so weird here?

  5. A lot of these kinda make sense?

Clippers have turned a corner recently and just got Zubac back

    Heat are incredibly inconsistent

OKC has been struggling recently but this was a game without Shai/Chet and a few others

  6. 10 years from now we will find out from a Pablo Torre expose, the referee union grand conspiracy to fix games that will rock the nation and usher in a new era of AI referees

  7. You don’t watch the games. There are several key players out or playing injured. OKC is looking rough on offense right now even with their full lineup.

  8. Only one “weird” game here and considering anyone can beat anyone on any given night in the nba it’s really nothing at all

  9. Honestly the pacers aren’t as bad as their record. Those guys play out of their minds at times so it’s not surprising. The clippers are good and the Knicks just played really great especially Kolek minutes. Every team in the league is capable of winning by 30 any night if you catch them on their night imo. Some obviously have it more consistent than others but I’ve seen the wizards not miss for stretches, I’ve seen the pelicans beat the rockets, MPJ go off for the nets, pacers are just missing Hali and Turner right ?

  10. Most of the cup teams have been struggling. Playing playoff basketball earlier in the season has made them exhausted more energy than normal. There a reason a team isn’t in mid season form until mid-late Feb.

    Pistons missing 4 starters
Pacers have been banged up badly. They’re not a normal tanking team. Then still have some nba players
Clippers have been playing .700 basketball last 3 weeks
Cavs are still a team that can turn in there 60 win version of last year any time

    Mavs are tanking with AD

    Fuck Boston!
