Jack Quinn SNIPES two goal to keep the Buffalo Sabres RED HOT in win over the Ducks
The Buffalo Sabres have now won 13 of their last 14 games following their win against the Ducks. The building was packed, loud, and the Sabres gave the fans a lot to cheer about. Jack Quinn leads the way with two goals, the opening goal, and the game-winning goal. Sneaky Joe was impressed all the way around by the Sabres effort. Skating, hits, defense, fights, goals… but only for 55 minutes.
The Sabres yet again, almost collapsed with three goals allowed in the final minutes. Lindy Ruff was clearly upset about the effort late in his postgame comments. Is the Sabres late game problem something that is going to stick with them and cost them games?
The common thread in the last three games in third periods seems to be the Sabres backing off and not pressuring the way they do in the first two periods.

The power play is the only thing that makes me think this team isn’t a legit contender. But I’m convinced they’re a playoff team. Such a fun team to watch right now
Many players are blocking shots. Not just the 4th line
Power Play is really lame and the reason is such little player movement. They are pylons, and easy to defend. The best team’s cycle players , keep the puck moving with natural legal picks being set by skating and this always creates an open shot. We need a coach that can draw this up and teach it. Remember Byrams first game? That’s what he’s expecting.
Byram has even levels higher to go. He is tremendous. If they get kulich back, look out. That Kulich is as good of wrist shooter as there is.
I think Jarmo has to pull the trigger for a top 6 forward. One that can win draws consistently and make a lethal PP. The trade might cost us a Rosen maybe Quinn and some combination of prospects and picks or even Krebs.
So many guy's are playing great this year. Byram's been awesome lately! I think they're for real.
Obviously is not good they let a few in late, but these games are building EXTREMELY STRONG character traits for this team. These are playoff style wins. This new NHL is wide open….teams come back every night, yet this team is holding on to the W's.
Josh Doan = The best thing Kevyn Adams did for this team
All of a sudden all the Jack Quinn haters aren’t hating , go figure
Fucking hell. Why Cant we block you
That point on melting at the end of games was important to pick up. Team should really study their endgames and pick up from them. Ofcourse they are still learning to lead and it have gone well, but to get more stronger would mean also being strong in the end of games.
At the game tonight. When Buffalo headed to the 5 on 3, several people around me saw Seth Appert talking to the power play group and there was a lot of grumbling and eyerolling lol. Disaster of a system.
Quinn is a natural goal scorer. Can't have too many of those. Still want to trade him for Panarin?? 🤣🤣🤣 We should never let Joe forget about his bizzare Panarin trade ideas!
Power play and shutting the door with these leads needs to be worked on. If they can clean that up a bit, will be really tough to beat. No late game penalty yesterday though which was nice
