Seriously, AD, at this point I'm becoming convinced there's no way Spo will get fired, and that was my main motivation for even bothering to come back and really pay attention to the Heat: the chance he might get the boot.
As I think I've mentioned to you, I was a sportswriter for Yahoo Sports covering Miami sports (Heat, 'Phins, Marlins, Panthers, and 'Canes) from 2009-2014.
I stopped because I got soured on sports overall completely, mainly because of the way so many people treated Lebron after the move to the Heat. That level of unwarranted hate and vitriol truly sickened me and got me re-evaluating what I was doing for a living, and I walked away from sports.
The Heat lured me back a few years ago with that miraculous playoff drive with Himmy, as has the 'Canes under Mario and the Panthers run, but I really have soured greatly on the Heat under Spo, as I think I've made it clear why. He's not someone who should be coaching Miami, and watching him waste all this talent is making me angry. And I'm sixty with a bad ticker. I don't need angry…😏

All I know is this, we couldn't defend the perimeter and I think the guys from the Pacers who couldn't score or as much last time, well they did this time. And I don't think it's Herro, it's him starting cuz it messes Norman or something
Tyler needs a pick and roll and to slow things down. But we had one of the worst offenses in the league last year, playing that style. We need to play up tempo and focus on defense and turn overs.
I think by now, we all should acknowledge that Spo can't win without a superstar or two, He has a bunch of mediocre players on this team. Spo is getting paid 100mill and can't even develop these guys, and refuses to play the young guys!!! The front office knows this, so why the f aren't they 1. giving him the type of players that fit his system or 2. fired his ass cause he can't coach young players and put them in a better situation 🤬 the Heat are literally a middle of the road team and it sucks for the fanbase

A serious franchise blows this up. But since we all know a geriatric is calling the shots and the owner is a cheap bastard nothing will change. Spo is happy to mess around with his little undrafted experiments, he doesn’t care either. And when your two “leaders” are 1. A soft loser in Edrice and 2. A shot chucking defensive black hole this is what happens. They’ll keep on talking about culture, when said culture died the moment Wade left for Chicago after Riley kicked him out. It is what it is. Couldn't finish watching that mess of a game. After the first half, I knew the blowout was coming. These boys have been so disappointing to watch. 😑
