  1. I said last year when they traded for Tucker, Jed’s plan is to get under the tax in 2025, and spend big in 2026 probably over the tax, cause they don’t want to be the repeat offender ! Since 27 they have a lot of salaries off the book.
So they can under tax in 27 easily and back to square one again.
No one believes me ! Cause no one sees the Jed’s plan!

  2. Hey Mick. Wow, I went from BORED of the Cubs offseason to being HYPED. Cabrera such an electric high upside SP, some good BP guys, and an insanely awesome character guy, clubhouse leader, and damn good bat at 3B. Way more excited for this season.

  3. You called it Mick. I do think Shaw has the ability to be a super utility player. Upgrades the bench. I am hoping Balasterios or Alcantra can handle DH. RIP Bob Weir, you went out on one special Saturday Night

  4. Now… Are the Chicago Cubs really done or are they gonna push all in?

My all and wondering would be now would you see if Ian Happ would waive his no trade clause and some other roster spots to free up cash and bring back Tucker to go with Bregman?

  5. Oh, I have issues with this particular individual not with his playing ability no but with his character and character doesn’t matter, regardless of what people may say and I don’t care what profession you choose be a the president of United States or a bricklayer a school teacher or someone who works in food service at 10 yearly matters and integrity is important. This person was involved in and supported one of the worst stains in the history of baseball, he cheated himself he cheated the team. He cheated his fan and he cheated all the fans of baseball. Is this the type of person that you want to have on the Chicago Cubs forget about his ability to play the game I believe in redemption of people I believe in second chances. I don’t think he has said the things that he needs to say to be fully remorseful for what he has done. I didn’t think they were gonna get any of the four but the one I thought they might’ve gone after actually gotten was Cody. A truly hope our new third baseman is remorseful and actually means what he said. I I want that to be true, but I’m not a believer. you’re gain trust one drop at a time one small drop at a time and when you break it, the whole container runs out. It becomes empty and trust has to be regain at one drop at a time. Reader, shipping character go hand-in-hand. I believe now more than ever character matters. I don’t think the cub has helped that out at all
Looks like the Cubs sold their issue at third base and got out without what cost???? This is something to think about going a little further what are the Cubs going to do with Nico now? Are they going to trade him? I think that becomes a more distinct possibility. there are a few players and the Cubs organization that they could slide into second base.

  6. Trading Nico doesn’t make no sense. He hit with runners on base and was a clutch hitter. Gold Glove winner that’s a throwback player that’ll hit .300. Then you’re talking about trading Nico for who? You SIGNED a 3B because the guy you had wasn’t hitting only to go to another situation like that at 2nd base?

  7. It’s a right handed bat who knows how to drive runs in. He doesn’t strikeout 160 times like Pete-Swanson-Suzuki-Happ or even Busch. I hope they leadoff Nico and then can have a hell of a middle and not be shut down by lefties.
