15. All this does is reiterate that the lakers can’t win a title this year as currently constructed. Lack of a center was why Minnesota smoked them last year. And they still have that issue. Unless the lakers go all in with all their picks and assets to get a better center and 3-d wing this month, they are a play-in or first round exit team. 38. Ayton's got to understand that with the starters out there on offense he is only a priority when he has a clean layup or dunk. Ayton has shown a resistance to taking smaller mismatches to the basket for contact layups and will often turnaround fade and take a midrange 2 when he gets the ball in these spots. If the Lakers are looking for a 3pter the top 3 options are Luka, Reaves, Lebron. If the Lakers are looking for a midrange 2pter the top 3 options are Luka, Lebron, and Rui. If the Lakers are looking for an easy layup the top 3 options are Ayton, Luka, and Lebron. When they give him the ball on mismatch he needs to be aggressive or it's not the play the Lakers are looking for.

    A turnaround midrange jumper on a mismatch with your center is such a losing play it's not even funny – who does he think is going to get offensive rebounds off his misses? It's true that the Lakers should find him more often especially in bench unit runs, but he's also got to be way more aggressive and get high percentage looks and fouls drawn, it's so frustrating to watch him turn mismatches into midrange jumpers.

39. Not taking blame away from DA but i think jj forcing him and luka to play more and luka doesn’t know how to work with DA. Lebron and AR work well with ayton know how to work with his finesse game, luka should play with jax more if hes going to keep forcing lob dunks

47. Ayaton is proof he's being lazy and not caring about scoring he should be traded. He needs to score when he is great at scoring he prove it to many times. Ayaton saying he don't want to score which normally leads to winning games against good teams. That means ayaton needs to be off the Lakers team

It's not like Claxton will transform the team and I honestly doubt we can swing that trade anyway. How much does Claxton make? Lol 27.5M. Yeah, that's insane for 13/8. That's not going to help us. Not one bit. Even 50% Ayton is just as good overall. Portis at 14.5M I can see making sense, especially since he can space the floor and stay on the court to finish out games playing small ball and adding a ton of spacing. He even shoots elite right now with 46%. Unfortunately not on 5-7 attempts, but I would be very willing to see what he looks like with Bron and Luka running the pick and roll and Bobby presenting a secondary lob threat and shooting from the corner. I'm not that against giving up Ayton for Portis. But if we go Ayton for a wing defender, who can't shoot, we are going around in circles solving nothing here.
