“I keep hearing pushback about Nets’ willingness to part with [Michael] Porter before the offseason” – Marc Stein

  1. Unless you’re getting a Desmond Bane like offer, you need to accumulate good young players at some point.

  2. I think they’ll receive an offer that they have to accept but if that doesn’t occur by Feb 5 an extension with a partial guarantee over games played incentive is my rooting interest.

  3. Having a star that has bought in to the system and developed into a leader for the team, I would hope there would be a sentiment that it would be hard to part with him. No matter what happens I hope that we’re doing right by him and by our organization. Having a player of his caliber definitely I think brings up our level of play and this past month has been such a great showing for everyone.

  4. off-season is where we can possibly get 4-5 1st round picks.

in season probably would only yield 2 1st round picks.

  5. realistically, where are you going with MPJ on the nets? we have young players who need the ball and even tho MPJ has been great, trading him now would be much better long term. his value will literally never be higher again and has been injury prone in the past. they gotta deal him this week

  6. Rolling my eyes.

This has been up 37 minutes, and all of you actually think it means something.

It’s posturing to raise the price.
