  1. Now is our interest on Daniel Gafford from Atlanta itself or from rival executives again? 🤔

  2. Honestly if we can get off Kispert then I’m game. Not really any better than OO17 – same listed height; OO is actually the better rebounder. But it sure beats playing Mo Gueye there when Zingis sits.

  3. I’d be down for Kennard + 2026 Cleveland 1st for Gafford or Kispert + same pick for him

They’d probably prefer Kennard with the expiring salary but I think either offer is pretty fair

  4. Wouldn’t he crush our spacing too? Solves one of our problems but creates a new one. Also a tad undersized, but good rim
    protection ig

  5. Don’t know what’s coming from our side or the mavs side anymore 🤣 but this is MUCH more believable… probably gonna an unpopular opinion but I’m not the biggest fan of gafford & his contract.. while it isn’t (bad) it could be better imo .. I do like his rim protection but he’s another “small” center at 6’10 & isn’t a better rebounder than onyeka .. do he really *fix* our current problems outside of more depth ?.. if we wanted an buy low guy who could play 12-20 minutes a game id love to go after Robert Williams.

  6. Gafford extension starts next season. I doubt we use our cap space flexibility for cj, kispert and gafford.

  7. I’d prefer Zubac or Claxton. We could get either of them without adding Zacch or the Pels pick too

  8. I’m interested in what the price is. Gafford hasn’t been playing well, is a bit small to compete with the top centers and a bit older than most of the core. Mavericks are going to have major salary issues next season needing to shed ~15-20 mil just to stay under the second apron. A trade with minimal draft capital and Kennard’s expiring could work well.

For the right price it definitely could work but I’d rather look into Hartenstien (same age but should be easier to acquire) or Kessler as options for next year and use this one to develop/not worry as much about competing. We have some assets that could be used to make a trade happen but our strength seems to be much more in how cheap this team is allowing us to overpay a FA/RFA rather than need to compete in trades.

  9. Dallas is clearly back on the phones again with the media

    We’ll see. They’re annoying.

  10. It’s so funny. Just because the Mavs demanded ZR doesn’t mean the Hawks ever agreed to include him. The media makes all this shit up about packages because it gets clicks

  11. I really want us to keep KP and just work through the health stuff, he’s so fucking unique, hes a legit option even at NBA finals level.

  12. I would love to get gafford and keep OO. This was always what needed to happen small moves on the margins but we blew it up cause we’re cheap and dumb. We def need to add to our frontcourt. We have our two franchise wings

  13. Just give me a big man that shows effort on the boards. I don’t care much about anything else he does. We lose the rebound battle nightly.

  14. Gafford and Exum for Kennard and Kispert.

I know Exum is hurt but there’s the Australian connection with Dyson and gives us another ball handler next year with plus defense. Wing depth might be an issue but think we would be fine until Exum returns. My thoughts are:

    2026-2027 roster

    PG: (Peterson/Pels pick) CJ Keaton

    SG: Dyson NAW Exum

    SF: ZR Vit (Dash/Cavs pick)

    PF: JJ Mo Asa

    C: OO Gafford KP

2 ways: Houstan, Kobe Johnson, (2nd round pick)
