  1. Why do channels like these think the player doesn’t have a say in what he’s doing? Y’all are basically saying that their previous teams just didn’t want them on the team anymore. Bregman isn’t worth 35 million a year. Good for the Cubs making that push to win. Sox weren’t willing to shell that out. Not a big deal.

  2. By the time the Cardinals are ready to compete in the 2028 season the Bregman contract should look pretty awful. But the Cubs can afford it. Hopefully after this next season a collective bargaining agreement can be reached. I personally just think it’s time.

  3. I don’t believe you can blame the Red Sox for not getting a bevy of hot prospects for Devers. The Giants did take on the full remaining $258.8M. The Red Sox just shouldn’t have let another club outbid them for Bregman by $10M.

  4. imo, bregman is getting overpaid cuz Guerrero is only paid like $2 million more than him per yr, and guerrero has one of the biggest contracts oat

  5. they have a month to spend $40MM on FAs between now and start of season. if they don't, i may start leaving excrement near the stadium

  6. Your right. Bregman not coming back makes the Devers trade much much worse. Devers is a few years younger. Much better with the bat and also a few million cheaper per year. Boston actually had Devers locked up much cheaper than he’d get if he was on the open market today.

  7. Actually I think Bregman made a bigger mistake here. He should've stayed in Boston because he hits lights-out in Fenway…….but he went for the money. Something must've happened to make him want to leave?!

  8. it's all good. Breslow got rid of Devers because he is using girl math, doing that addition by subtraction. Bregman was just a temp player anyways. They have some type of amazing new 3B coming up the ranks.

  9. Time will tell, but 11 years $330M for a DH can be a franchise wrecking contract. Devers is a great hitter, but you lose his bat to injury, or whatever, and the team is in free fall.
