The Rangers Think They’re Good — They’re Not

Today we discuss the state of the New York Rangers. Free falling towards the bottom of the NHL standings. The inevitable needs to happen, change from the top down. Chris Drury and company can no longer run this hockey team into the ground. THE FANS do not deserve this. 100 years of mediocrity is getting tiring.

  2. This is good Saps that Igor and Fox are out bc it really shows how bad this squad is. They’re not even close to contending even at full health. I hope they go on a huge losing streak now with those two out so they get a good draft pick, sell their top assets for more, and eventually results in Drury being fired. It has to happen for this team to have any future at all…

  6. They can't do "tear-it-to-the-studs" rebuild. That means they would have to trade stars for picks, let the roster bottom out, reset the cap, and start rebuilding through the draft again.

    You simply cannot do that with an $11.5M goalie in his prime locked in for eight years.

  8. Well-said! We're sucking hard right now. The Rangers need to wake the hell up and start winning on home ice. And I'm going to my 1st Rangers game next month. I expect a damn good game.

  9. Bad, boring, easy to hate, and with a much more competitive and entertaining Garden co-tenant. It's a very bad time. I've never been less engaged with the team.

  10. As a lifetime Rangers fan this is one of the worst seasons that I've ever seen. There's nobody I feel more sorry for than season ticket holders. Literally every single one of them could be driving around in a brand new car instead of watching this dumpster fire of a season.

  15. This team is simply brutal. They have between 12 and 14 NHL level talents in the organization. And they also, IMO, have one of, if not THE, worst prospect pool in the league. This is as good as it get folks, from here we only go down hill.

  17. This organization is on the verge of diving deep into a purgatory that could last at least a decade if they don't tear it down and rebuild now. Any half measure and they are fucked for the next 10 years at the minimum.

  20. The whole thing is and this goes for the whole league they don't care. The owners msking money the players still get payed playing half speed at best. Until the fans wake up stop going to the games canceling season tickets stop watching this will go on the power believe it or not is in the fans hands we can make or break them. It's up to all of you!!!! Don't want to do anything then stop complaining and watch these primadonnas make millions while your scratching by breaking your asses and they keep raising tickets prices for a shoddy product and you keep going to the games.

  23. You cant change the culture when the cancerous troublemakers are still in the locker room. Back the truck up and get rid of these guys. I knew we were in big trouble when our coach had to beg dumbass to please play. He is a point per game player and someone will take him. Get panarin the hell out of here, get rid of the laff factory and many more. We can stink with ya, we can stink without ya. Tank the rest of the season and see if the nhl will give us the 1st overall and we can start all over again. We've got the golie, some D, we need 2 top centers with grit. We need dogs, not ice capade sissy la las. 1 championship in 85 years says it all. I've been living this nightmare for over 55 years!

    Igor is my favorite player, but even I can sit here and say signing him wasn't good for the natural direction this team looked to be heading towards. This is lundqvist all over again. The team without Igor is a lottery team, with him the standing show they have a chance (we all know that that's not true but drury sees the standings and thinks otherwise). Igor masks how awful this group of skaters is and with him on this team they will hover around mid no matter what

They will never win until they fire the GM Ranger fans need to understand that this guy broke up a team that won the President's trophy and had the best record in the history of this miserable franchise he got rid of the captain he got rid of Goodrow he ruined the whole chemistry of the team he ruined the locker room he destroyed this organization Chris Drury needs to be fired immediately

  29. They beat Edmonton and Florida on their Home Ice . Some Players are old Zabinejad , Panarin , Trochek . They won the 2024 Division Titel . So it wasn 't all bad the last couple of Years .

  32. I’ve been thinking this same thing for the past maybe three weeks even with the win against the Panthers. That was our last gasp. This team is cooked. We keep shesty gabi fox and miller. And everyone else must go if possible. Also I’m a jets fan as well we have done the same thing so many times I don’t want to see it happen to the Rangers please.

  34. Dolan only cares about the gate, winning is 2nd, Drury is garbage. Long time before we're good again.All fans must stop spending money on this team!! Empty out msg the rest of the way.

  36. As a Devils fan, we’re in the same boat right now. Both of our teams are horrendous. Both teams need a rebuild and a regime change. GMs need to be fired immediately!
