1. The Yankees should’ve moved on. When the Yankees traded for Bellinger it was a risky move but it paid off. Bellinger was productive for the Yankees and the trade is considered a win for Cashman. Smart teams would’ve let Cody Bellinger walk and not sign him to an albatross contract. Cashman is close to turning this from excellent trade to bad signing. Let Bellinger walk and let a kid play. With or without Bellinger the Yankees are not WS ready. Sign or trade for a Paul Goldschmidt type of player for 1B like last year. If you want add payroll then sign Bo Bochette.

2. If Belli is firm at 7 years 37 mil per I would do my best to trade for Nico Hoerner to play SS, move Jazz to center, and sign Bichette for 2nd. We'd be adding 2 guys who actually hit around .300 to bat ahead of Judge and Rice. My two cents.

3. Rather let him walk than bleed from my eyes watching the Yankees years 4-7 of a 7 year deal

4. A real organization would have a limit and a plan B that’s not just “play Dominguez and Jones” that’s how you find yourself routinely bent over the barrel by Scott Boras. He knows you’re cheap and he’s using it against you. They can try to leverage with clients he doesn’t rep like Bo and Tucker but we can all see the reality. Yankees only want Bellinger and him and Scott know it

5. Even with Cody, the Yankees are not competitive with Toronto or the Dodgers. Why should the Yankees take on a bad contract out if a perceived desperation. The offer was more than fair. Move on Yankees and prote t your future.
