  1. I was at this game (my first playoff game). We sat behind the baseline half way up and the whole night was iconic. Reggie will forever be my favorite. If we ever win the chip it will be his too. 👏🏼

  2. It’s a damn shame. We had to go against the most physically dominant center ever in his prime. Oh..and Kobe Bryant.

  3. When we someday win it, he gets some sort of ring, too. I will never forget that image of him hugging the new Pacers as they left Game 7.

  4. Such a fierce competitor. Either 2004 or 2005 should have/could have been ring years for him. If only he had dunked it instead of laying it up. That memory will haunt me forever.

  5. I was an infant for this and vowed to make it to a finals game in person if we ever made it again. Game 3 this year was an experience I’ll never forget. Gainbridge in the playoffs is something you can’t understand unless you’ve been.

  6. If he was a sellout like Lebum or KD and joined say, the Jazz. Him, Malone and Stockton would have overcome MJ.

  7. The 2000 Finals were closer than people remember, losing in OT in Game 4 and blowing a fourth quarter lead in Game 6. Could have easily gone seven.

But not having another chance in the Finals in 1995, 1998 or 2004 during the Reggie era really stings.

  8. He got two Olympic gold medals as a consolation prize though! Not bad for a guy who wasn’t supposed to be able to walk normally.

  9. And this is why I want us to get a top 3 pick this year.

Gotta get the ring for Haliburton + Pascal.

I’ll never get over how Adam Silver + his refs fucked us over from that Cinderella run. It would have been the best run in NBA history.

  10. I was a lifelong Kobe hater because of this series.

And now I’ll be a lifelong SGA hater.

  11. Cheap herb Simon never put a good team around him. Refused to bring back artest and O’Neal. Miller deserved a ring for sure.
