For every reporter who is up in arms about “professionalism” regarding the Jags reporters comments toward their Coach; why wasn’t there uproar when the same thing happened after Stefanski’s last game?

  1. People need to get a grip. These are the same people that are bitching about a coaches kids at press conferences in the NBA. Its a sports press conference, its not that serious. I understand these people have deadlines, but come on its at most 20-30 seconds. All the good questions that people want to read the answers to are asked at the very beginning.

  2. Different context. Also: spot the lie.

In a world of reduced humanization and manufactured relationships, it’s refreshing to see this kind of stuff.

  3. Do you have an issue with what the reporter said here? This is a cut throat industry and that is one of the better things I’ve heard said at a press conference. Some of the questions that are asked are so stupid sometimes that I can’t imagine how I’d react if asked the same. This statement wasn’t even bad, and to be honest with you, I agree with what the reporter said. And that is not saying I agree or disagree with the browns moving on, just a statement to be taken at face value.

  4. Technically speaking, a reporter is not supposed to express opinions (good or bad) at press conferences. Opinions are of course fine in the articles they write, but are typically frowned upon expressing them in that way publicly and considered inappropriate (it becomes personal instead of professional). And of course, opinions sometimes sneak out in the way a question is asked, but that’s the difference between a good and bad reporter I guess.

  5. People are upset at the Jags reporter? The season is over. What does it harm to have a nice comment?

  6. I mean where is the lie in what the reporter said?

Stefanski is the fall guy for a shitshow of an offense, while the guy who gave him this mess gets a pat on the back.
It is what it is but Stefanski deserved better here and i hope his next job will be in a better environment where he can be successful

  7. Jeff wasn’t giving Kevin a pep talk. He was letting ownership know we all see that Kevin is taking the fall and that if he’s gone AB should be gone too.

It wasn’t the same at all.

  8. The jaguars reporter went too far imo. That’s a professional setting and you could do that another time/place, imo

  9. Shocking folks were mad at that Jags reporter. They were supposed to finish 3rd in their division. Also, reporters are in Berea everyday (almost) so they probably developed a close relationship with Kevin.

Sucks we don’t see people being nice to each other anymore.

  10. Wait what? Since when is this unprofessional? The local beat develops a rapport with a coach after 6 years and recognizes when the coach is unfairly used as a scapegoat.
