Just make the cardinals cool again. That’s all I really care about.
That’s the best case scenario. That’s why teams not trying to win sign these one year deals. If it works flip him for prospects, if it doesn’t, oh well it’s one year.
Yeah I assume that’s the ideal outcome.
Worst case they come in and eat some innings this year so we don’t have to burn out a young arm. Best case they pitch well and can be flipped for a meaningful prospect. Literally no risk, but could be a decent reward
