Doesn’t go into detail about discussions. Probably just kicking the tires, maybe planting a seed for a trade deadline deal.

  1. The Sox should keep Robert unless the return is absolutely overwhelming. He is the only major league quality outfielder in the organization right now.

  2. I should’ve added that now that we have a 5-tool player in Kelenic our outfield has depth and flexibility and can handle trading Robert.
    (Agree Kelenic-guy?)

  3. I have an incredibly hard time imagining this outfield without Luis right now. Beni is a noodle armed DH who is a detriment in left, Pereira hits below the mendoza line but can field ok, Hill is probably a late inning defensive sub type, Baldwin is maybe a mlb utility player, if that, and Tristan Peters is… idk what he is.

EDIT: oh an Kelenic who MIGHT make the team

  4. Wrong sub, but Hoerner’s a guy you keep if you’re making a run at the division. Dude’s a gamer, that’s why Yankees want him

  5. If we get a good return for Robert, why not? If we don’t get back an outfielder, we can find a couple outfielders who don’t completely suck (Bader/Bellinger/Grichuk/Tauchman/Slater/Renfroe/Hays/Winker, etc.) until Montgomery/Wolkow/Zavala/someone else are ready.
