I was 29 years when he joined the Wings. It was the beginning of the golden age and he was an integral part of it. When they finally won that first cup, I was at the parade (and wondered who the cute little blonde in the leopard skin dress that was with him was – Anna Kornakova). So I'm sitting here watching this and the f** tears won't stop. Welcome home Sergei. Welcome home.

I would say growing up, Sergei was my favorite player. Im so happy for him and his family tonight, it's beyond well deserved.
I got to meet Him after an Islanders game on long Island where I live, he signed my jersey, I thanked him, he was so kind!!!! I'm so happy for him and his wife and children ❤ It's breaking my heart that I can't be there IN Detroit 😭😭😭 But at least I got to witness perhaps the GREATEST (IMO) Hockey player of my generation!!!
