John Harbaugh TOP OPTION for Tennessee Titans Coach, Mike McDaniel Acceptance & Worst Options Left

The Tennessee Titans are now into Week 2 of their head coaching search and John Harbaugh remains the best candidate on the market. The only issue is, as more information comes it seems the Titans aren’t one of the top two picks for Harbaugh and some historic factors make it less likely he picks Tennessee. That makes Kevin Stefanski, Mike McCarthy and Robert Saleh the next best. If the Titans can’t pick from the top tier, looking at options like Chris Shula, Jeff Hafley and Mike McDaniel becomes the next step and while McDaniel leaves a lot to be desired, he certainly isn’t the worst they could do. There are plenty of worse options available like Matt Nagy, Arthur Smith and the worst of them all, Lou Anarumo.

  7. Kingsbury is probably the only guy where I do the “it didn’t look good the last time he was HC” thing. Maybe it’s just me. Even though he has a track record of successful QB development, it still feels alot like Cally in terms of managing an entire team. I just remember his teams always looking worse as the season goes on. This is a thing going all the way back to TTU.

  10. Amy has money Tyler, that’s won’t be a problem. Giants have been dysfunctional as well. Atlanta has better roster but not Cam Ward. We have a very attractive lure for candidates. This is a process for the titans without dysfunction currently. Let’s see how the dominos fall.

The other day you had a video about LaFleur with the Packers when he was our offensive coordinator he made Mike Vrabel look like a genius, and we all know what happened when the floor became head coach to the Packers. I’ve been praying and praying and praying to my father that Amy will have her eyes opened in her heart, softened to see John Harbaugh and too hire John Harbaugh! 😊 I love your show we’re on the same page. You’re brilliant.

Like I said last time Matt laflur if becomes available number 1 but harbaugh, mcdaniel , McCarthy, and giving that information you gave us on kingsberry he’d be right after mccarthy in order for me I just want an offensive minded head coach that are proven quarterback gurus and are good for scheming against defenses saleh is my number one defense man what he was able to do with the players against the eagles is awesome just don’t want him as a head coach as awesome as he is but a very good ranking and list thanks for keeping us updated!

  18. Tennessee starting to pick up some steam it seems like, as far as a good landing spot for HCs. Atlanta is the other option that people seem to regard highly, and while their roster is certainly better right now, I'm not really a believer in their QB. Others might be, but I personally am not. Maybe you don't get Harbaugh, but are still able to get a good HC. Shoot for the stars, land on the moon type of thing 🤷‍♂. I look at the Patriots, now I didn't really pay too much attention but I remember the consensus after 2024 being that they might have their QB in Drake Maye, but their roster was one of the worst in the league. But, they had like $100m+ in cap space and the 4th overall pick. Now you look at them, they got a great coach and idk, they seem to have a pretty solid roster overall to me. Not saying it's elite but they seem to be pretty solid at every spot. They have been really impressive. My Giants had been playing good teams close all season, and they absolutely kicked the shit out of us lol. They have as legitimate shot as any at winning the Super Bowl this season imo (is part of that in combination to there not really being any dominant teams head and shoulders above the rest? Possibly). Could that be the path for the Titans? Not saying they will win 14 games next season or Cam Ward will be as good as Drake Maye, and DEFINITELY not saying they will be Super Bowl contenders next season, but you see the path for some significant improvement if things break right. Robert Saleh, Kliff Kingsbury, Chris Shula, Jesse Minter (though I think he might go to Baltimore lol) are all options I would be fine with. I would be ok with McDaniel too. Mainly would love him as OC (he will be in demand though) but as HC, maybe could work out alright. He was able to get production out of Tua and get the Dolphins into the playoffs, despite not winning. I think the Titans should be able to get a good HC here, and then hopefully it works out like we want it to

  19. If I was harbaugh, I would take 30% less pay just to Coach in Tennessee over New Jersey or Georgia… As a Titans fan from Illinois, I would visit Tennessee 20 times before I even thought about visiting one of those other states… And Nashville way over those other two cities

    Guys, by every metric available, he was the next big name in coaching at the time! Yes, the gamble didn't pay off, but taking the chance on him made complete sense! Some of y'all don't know ball

  22. I think im in a similar place as you with these coaches except I'm slightly higher on Vance Joseph. His QB situation was about as unfair as Stefanski's these last couple of years.

    I'm also higher on Mike Mcdaniel. Not that hes not flawed, but i think as long as the team is getting coached well and is winning some games, his "leadership" flaws are overstated.

    The Dolphins are historically a dumster fire. That he maged to win as much as he did with tuas brain getting scrambled with an organization that made Dan Campbell cry is a positive, not a demerit.

    More importantly, are you going to get a new dog or are you retiring from the pet game?

  31. Herbert choking like always, Minter has always been a top option for me, but I don't know if he can lead a locker room. Not sure who the oc would be, probably a veteran oc.
