  1. You don't get much out of Onsi which isn't great for the sound bites, but that is exactly what professional front offices do. Onsi is the truth.

  2. Why wait? You retooled a team with Trae at the helm. Before the team got enough runs together you trade the main piece….. Not to mention that the Trae trade process was a sham. The handling of someone who had given his all over the years to make the team relevant spoke loudly on your modus of operandi, and it's not good.

  3. Like this guy! Moving on from Trae was the right move. If you can't see on the court (And the numbers in black and white) that this team plays better without Trae, I dont know what to tell you….

  4. Hawks fans are going to eat this up because the honeymoon phase is still going on but in all reality, Onsi has only made 2 good moves so far. (Nola trade and NAW)

In terms of gaining roster value, the hawks have taken a step back but have not added additional draft assets with the Trae trade. It feels like Onsi is building a war chest of nothing and calling it optionality.

  5. Onsi is legit. Clearly the AD trade stuff was not coming from us. Onsi plays his cards close to his chest, it can be annoying at times as a fan but it's exactly what you want. Like his answer on the draft, I don't want us trading that at all if it's top 3, and would need a substantial upgrade to move it if it's in the 4-10 range. Thanks for posting this Brad!

  6. There should have been a follow up question on the center issue. He changed the wording to BIGS, because Asa nor Mo are centers. Hawks are bottom 10 in points given up in tne paint and rebounding. There are only 2 centers on the roster, KP has played less than a 3rd of possible games, and 6'8 Onyeka is averaging the 3rd most minutes of NBA centers, so the evaluation should be that there's failure at the current center position. Now what are the plans to address that in a year without Jason Tatum or Tyrese Haliburton being in the East?
