Really interesting info here. Friedman says the main driver of his firing was the young players underperforming, citing teams like Chicago and San Jose that are led by their young players like Bedard and Celebrini. He also wonders whether the open assistant position is for a young coach who will replace Bowness when he is done here.

I say keep Coyle and trade Jenner. I’m shocked to hear that there’s teams interested in getting him.
We aren’t making the playoffs. It’s good to get the new coach in place so he can evaluate talent and help determine who to sell at the deadline. This should be seen as a move in preparation for next season
So this happened even without a massive fan boycott??? Interesting.
