  1. Why does it take people so long to recognize patterns? I guess it’s going to take Justin Herbert 10 more times to flame out in the playoffs before people get it. Stop looking at things for what you want him to be and look at them for what they are. Every year they make a different excuse for a lot of of these quarterbacks Tim Tebow has more playoff wins than Justin Herbert.

  2. I like Herbert fine, yet I think I'm joining the done with excuses crowd. He's been the quarterback of 3 teams that were good enough to make it to the playoffs and exited them in head scratching 1 and done fashion. Not all his fault yet far from innocent too. Its not like his tackles were healthy all year and went down in week 18. Defense played their heart out and even got some turnovers. All for 3 points.

  3. Roman is 100 percent the issue. If Harbaugh is going to hitch his wagon to Roman, and refuse to let him go, then you have to have a conversation about moving on from Harbaugh, too. Between Roman's time with the Lamar Jackson Ravens and the Justin Herbert Chargers, Roman is 1-5 in the playoffs with his teams averaging less than 14 points per game.

  4. Greg had about three games this year where you sat back and thought, 'good gameplan'. THREE!

That's just not good enough. A large part of why Herbert got hit so much, was there was no short option. Herbert had to hero-ball the Chargers to the playoffs and the only ones who showed up for him were the defense.

And now Minter is likely gone, which leaves the Chargers with what? Just Harbaugh's positive energy. I'd take the defensive coordinator any day.

  5. REPLACE GREG ROMAN.. He's not suited for a slinger QB like Herbert.. Roman does best with dual-threat guys (Kap, Lamar, Josh Allen before he learned to pass effectively).. Go get Mike McD.. Going from Tua to Herbert is like going from the starting weapon to a rail gun, lolol..

  6. fire greg roman.! every loss the chargers has this season was a game wheee herbert had nearly 40 passes AND was the leading rusher. it's the play calling not the players doing bad

  7. 11 wins against a weak schedule, 3 loses against non play off teams, no team in the playoffs is completely healthy like they were in week 1. It's the usual Charger choke, 0-3 speaks for itself until he wins a big game you can't say Herbert is a big game player simple as that. And indeed a new OC is needed.

  8. The pound and ground game isn't the problem it's the lack of creativity and play calling. Fourth and long and run a play action pass attempt when you haven't had running success. No easy options. WR not getting any separation and looking confused.

I sure hope harbaugh's answer was more that he didn't want to call out his friend in public. He wants to save that conversation for a closed door.

  9. The excuses made for Herbert every year are insane. If you actually watched the game, you would've seen Herbert missing open receivers 2-3 times per drive. Not near misses either, I'm talking 5-yard misses. He had plenty of time to throw until the 4th quarter. He got 0 points out of a drive that started 1st and goal. He had 2 fumbles and 3 points total.

  10. Offense scored I believe 34 in his first playoff game and missed the tying FG. How is he to blame for that. Houston game wasn't his best. Just about every win this year was on him. Not going to beat a good team with 3rd string tackles and a horrible game plan, if there even was one.

  11. If Bo Nix or Caleb Williams play like that, they'd get crucified. But somehow a guy who's been around 6 years without making it to the divisional round has the entire media running cover for him 😂😂

  12. I don't blame the injuries. I blame the chargers. San Francisco is injured to hell everywhere and still won against a much better roster. Stop making excuses for Herbert. KC had oline trouble all of last year and still made it to the Super Bowl.

  13. along with firing roman and taking a deep dive at the team and retooling with our assets.. I hope Jim arranges a meeting/phone call with Peyton Manning for Justin Herbert. Feel like that would do Justin some good. Taking the perspective of someone else that also struggled with playoff wins early on in his career might help Justin rebuild or transform his mentality going into next year. We'll be back.

  14. Maybe it's a blessing they didn't win; Herbert might have been seriously injured if they had made it any further in the playoffs. It may have saved his career, who knows?

  15. Shame on Jim Harbaugh for wasting two years of his players’ careers by hiring his incompetent friend. Greg Roman’s point totals in his last 6 playoff games; 13-17-17-12-12-3. If this kind of loss is what it takes for him and his entire staff to be fired, it was worth it.

  16. I'm sure he's a nice guy and football is a team sport… but I keep hearing that this QB is elite. Is it wrong to say I'm not seeing it… am I wrong?

Just because people say something… doesn't make it true. He's seems like a nice, talented guy, but it's hard to play QB when you're on your butt all day

  17. Demolished? They’re giving the Pats way more credit than they deserve. I’m a die hard bronco fan and really feel for Herbert. Give him HALF of a good o line and they torch the patriots. The fact that it took them 3 quarters to finally get a touch down speaks volumes of the strength of the chargers and the weakness of the patriots. Maye played a dogshit game and was saved by a bull rushing defensive line

  18. Never hear this guy give Lamar any type of grace ….The same Greg Roman had for 5 years and won MVP …Yall ain’t give no excuses ! Now yall wanna talk about scheme ? Media is hilarious 😂

  19. Sick of these excuses for Herbert, it's always someone else's fault. How many coaches and coordinators need to be hired and fired before you realize the problem is Herbert? Hes 0-3 in the playoffs with a 54% completion rating and a 62% passer rating, both of which are abysmal and hes getting worse, not better. He is a loser and needs to be traded, along with his absurd contract hes come nowhere close to earning.

  20. Herbert is 0-3 in the playoffs and more importantly, Harbaugh is 0-2! That offensive line is an embarrassment to the franchise. You can’t have that, the entire league can see it.
