That's what you guys are getting wrong, and this is reason why former athletes are blowing you guys out of the water with respects to ratings in your field/arena – they're real, interesting & relatable while you guys are boring & robotic with your uninspiring takes + lame predictable questions.
Correct me if I’m wrong I don’t understand why we need a journalist to tell us what we’ve seen when we watch the game for three hours

I love Dan Patrick. I disagree with him on this one. Good for her. I loved it when Stuart Scott rooted. Plus, what questions needed to be asked? They played their balls off and they lost. And the Sports Center guys sucked up to players more than just about anyone.

She was great! That's her job as the local, small newspaper, home team reporter. Most of the "real journalists" had the same dumb questions anyways. I also don't know why DP had to spend 10 minutes on the subject basically saying he didn't have a problem with her, while having a problem with her.

ESPN, the whole network, unapologetically cheers for SEC teams because of the massive contract they have with then. And it’s gone beyond football and into basketball. They overhype SEC teams and act like teams from other conferences are less than. Even though the SEC has not been as good the past few years they still overhype SEC teams. And other networks do the same thing for leagues they have contracts with. I don’t want to hear it about being unbiased in sports journalism when the biggest name in sports journalism has been overhyping a college conference over the contract they have had with them for the past twenty years. And you’re only covering sports, it has no impact on anyone’s daily lives the way politics or social issues do. And she was only a local reporter

I understand the sentiment but she’s done this for 30 years and this is the only time she’s ever done anything like this. It’s not like it’s a repeat issue. I think a lot of this is performative by the media members. A form of professional virtue signaling. I work in medicine. We also have ethics and standards that we abide by. It would take something pretty awful for us to just all wanna come out and crucify someone for something. People are human. They have human reactions sometimes. Not everything is a big deal. Some things are, this ain’t one of em.

I love that the comments section is almost entirely people telling you how bad of a take this is. That was such a heartwarming and uplifting message.
