I used to love this team. Watched every game. Now I can’t stomach to watch one minute.
JT Miller was supposed to be the first of a series of moves to change the culture. “No BS” has turned into “no answers”.
The “dragging us to the fight” line is state media propaganda. He takes plays off whenever he feels like it and doesn’t make up for it offensively. His PPG pace is 50 points, a career low going back to his Tampa days.
He was handed the captaincy after 30 games of being a Rangers last season. He is an underperforming player who faces zero consequences from our coach who clearly favors him because of his “gritty” reputation.
This is no Captain. This is a player who cannot rise above adversity.
And the worst part? I know he’s hurt, he knows he’s hurt, everyone’s knows. But he will keep playing as a liability because he wants to represent USA in the Olympics I wouldn’t be surprised to see him finally shutdown for injury after Milan.
And that is selfishness.
Shoutout to blackout rules. First time I’ve ever been happy to realize a game is on NHL Network. Saved me from myself.

The Mika postgame was downright sad, dude. This team has ZERO confidence. The players are literally saying they are fragile. If I were an opponent, I’d be licking my chops to play this group right now. Miller was such a mistake. Drury could not have done a worse job these last couple of years.

Fans and the media pick apart JT no matter what he says after a loss. When he’s tried to focus on the positives after outshooting their opponents, fans get mad because he’s being too positive. He’ll tell the media that the entire team needs to be better and that it starts with himself, and fans will complain that they want to see results and are tired of him talking. He finally does an interview where he essentially says nothing, and fans pick that apart, too.
The only way fans judge if you’re a good captain is by wins and losses. Nothing else matters.
Fucking mentally weak. All of them.
Drury isn’t going anywhere. We are stuck with this. The dark ages are back in a big way for this organization.

Tbh. I have usually watched every game that I can but this is just so hard to watch because there is nothing to look forward to. No super hyped prospect, no young elite talent. No fire and grit. No development, no accountability.
I guess tbh again, Mika finding his game again has basically been the highlight of the season for me

Predictably though it’s become a culture of non effort, non accountability, and a toxic room for anyone under 25 to develop under.

There were a couple moments this season where it looked like they might turn a corner, but they’d always lose to some shit team after. Any hope I had that they might at least make the playoffs or be a thorn in other teams’ sides has completely vanished.
