JP and BMitch believe Brian Flores would be a great fit for the open defensive coordinator job.

No they should get rid of their transkinder team.
The big advantage we have over Minnesota to lure him here is Jayden. Flores knows he has garbage at QB so no matter how good his D is they aren’t going to contend for a SB
Would DQ really hire someone who could potentially take his job?
Washington should have hired Flores instead of DQ 2 season ago.
Yep hire Flores with the understanding you will become head coach in a year or two it’s about winning frankly I don’t care about Quinn nice man but not the coach to lead us back to a superbowl that’s obvious a blind man can see it
There are many things outside of a coach's control in being successful or not….salary cap issues that limit personnel acquisitions, injuries etc. There are a lot of coaches who have success and then have tough years. Mike Vrabel was a Coach of the year in 2021, but then has two straight losing seasons and gets fired. Did he become a bad coach because things went south in Tennessee? Now he ends up this year in New England where he repeats his early success in Tennessee. DQ started well with the Falcons including a SB appearance and then ended with a pair of losing seasons and fired mid-season after an 0-5 start. He started 12-5 with the Commanders but follows that up with 5-12. Is this what happens with most coaches? If they are lucky enough to have a few good years, they end up trailing off and most teams are just not patient enough to weather 2 or 3 losing campaigns before making a change. Rare are reigns like Mike Tomlin (19), Harbaugh (18 but now over) and Andy Reid (14 in Philly; 13 in KC currently). Sean McDermott, Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan all currently have 9, LaFleur has 6 seasons and Siriani (5) and they are arguably the most successful coaches in the league right now. Everybody else is only one bad season away from getting the axe in my opinion. You do have older coaches like Sean Payton and Jim Harbaugh who have made recent returns to the NFL and have turned their franchises around. And a couple of 2nd year coaches in DeMeco Ryans and Mike MacDonald who have their teams in the divisional round of the playoffs, but it's too soon to tell if they are going to continue this success. I hope DQ is able to weather the storm of this season and learn from it and hopefully restores a winning tradition in Washington.
Get a good D coordinator and DQ needs to stay out of the D. He's soft with that zone
Brian Flores interviewed for a Ravens HC job
Either Flores or stephanski from browns. I think they both can help with evaluating prospects and future signings.
DQ only makes $4.5 million per year. His DC is going to make less.
