Devonta Smith is not a #1 WR.
That would be like the Bengals getting rid of Chase and trying to pretend Tee Higgins is the guy.
Eagles not trading AJ. Despite the dropped passes, media bs, he’s too valuable of an asset to the team, plus the major cap hit. The locker room all love the guy, it’s coaching and execution. KP out.
Trade him to the Browns or Raiders and get a killing !!!
It's not happening. Much easier to get an average OC than take on a 60 million dead cap hit.
dumbest thing ever said. Everything AJ has said is proven correct.
Yeah, I don't agree with this. I think AJ Brown was just stating what everyone in the locker room was thinking. The play calling on offense sucked. He was just the only one to admin it. Call out his 3 dropped passes in that game and I'll show you 2 more one by smitty and one by saquon. The issue was this offense slowly stopped performing as the season went along because no changes were made to the play calling. We'll see how this pans out through the off season.
idk when your grumping about your team and then you can't catch the dang ball when they try to get it to ya… there's going be some chirping going on back and forth.
That's a terrible take. Dead cap aside…If they thought AJ Brown has clearly lost a step or is on the decline, then sure get rid of him. But if he isn't…if they still think he's great then it's a question of "is he better at WR than Patullo is at OC or Jalen is at QB..or is Jalen better at QB than Patullo is at OC". If they can bring in a proven OC they believe can elavate the play of Jalen and AJ and the rest of the offense, then it's 2024 all over again. Smitty is great, but he's not AJ and AJ is not Smitty. Nowadays you need at least 2 big time pass catchers. Lets not forget what happened to the titans when they traded AJ. Lets not forget how Jalen looked WITHOUT AJ even on the field late 2023 and early 2024. Getting rid of AJ puts so much pressure on everyone else to elevate their game as well as the front office to adequately replace him given they still have a Super Bowl caliber defense.
AJ Brown is just doing what he's always done, everywhere he's been. As a Niners fan, I loved Deebo and Aiyuk, but I am much happier having a lot of guys who are happy to be here, who are working hard, who have great vibes, and aren't always publicly complaining about not getting targets.
I don't think AJ will go anywhere because it seems to me that a lot of Eagles fans look at AJ as the mouthpiece for all their Patullo complaints. If Patullo gets fired, how long before the new guy comes under fire, or Sirianni, and is AJ going to keep stuff in house or go to social media and snipe at folks through the press? I think we all know the answer to that. If AJ Brown was a GM, he'd basically be Trent Baalke, and it's not a tenable situation to have in any workplace, especially a high pressure workplace like an NFL building.
That pass to AJ Brown was a horrible pass from Hurts. He overthrow it
He said all that just to say absolutely nothen
"Acquiesce" must be the new word from his calendar.
There’s a good chance that an OC arrives that actually listens to their players and makes adjustments that makes sense, and the players improve
It’s not the roster, Jalen Hurts & KPs interactions said A LOT about poor chemistry.
Word of the day "acquiesce"
Not a fan of the vitamix still plugged in… just me?
No trade
He is worth it
Even if they won that game.
They still never looked like a threat to win
He's not wrong, cancers must be cut out otherwise they spread.
Joined late, are we talking eagles or Lamar and ravens?
AJ isn’t handling it well but it’s really about Jalen Hurts is not a good passer
Lol no. KP was the problem we all knew that and the media tried to gaslight us in to "calming down". Spare me. We keep AJ, Fire Patullo and actually get our Superbowl MVP quarterback a talented creative OC to stay for more than 12 months for the first time in his entire adult life.
I don’t think AJ Brown is that guy that makes the locker room uncomfortable at all. I think that’s an absolute hot take do I think his time in Philly may be done possibly but that’s also just AJ Brown and wide receivers is a group they are kinda just divas
Terrible take 😂 and admittedly exposed himself as a selfish player "yeah we won back to back because im old and they had to limit the Offense due to my oldness😂
Trade AJ for a 2nd or 3rd this year and literally take a WR with that pick. Get that player on a rookie deal.
AJ Brown is making $32M APY. He had 1,007 Rec yards and 7 TDs. He’s simply not worth that he is not worth the hassle.
I don't disagree i guess, but I think everyone one is ignoring the real actual football problem. Forget the drama and what people what you to talk about. The problem is the eagles offensive line was not good this year. But the stat and record the eagles have when lane johnson doesn't play has to be fixed this off season. You don't have to replace him, but you damn sure need his replacement on the roster. The eagles are not a good offense or team when lane johnson is hurt or doesn't play. If he doesn't play. The eagles do not win. That has to be fixed.
I muted when he said sometimes you trade great players 😂
I'm a huge Hurts supporter, but I actually saw some great throws this year that made me question him and Patullo at times; because I've never seen a coordinator ask Jalen to make throws 20 yards down the middle of the field….fastballs where he was forced to throw hard between two defenders on a rope. The plays looked great but very different for Jalen. I only saw a few of them….but it made me question why I've seen other QB's make those throws on a regular basis but not Jalen. I started questioning if Patullo was trying to force Jalen to trust him but maybe he was reluctant to make those throws….or was Patullo dumb for not building around Jalen's strengths?
This is why they shouldn't pay these players too much..they should pay these players on performance
