Mike Tomlin Could Change New York Football Forever

The Pittsburgh Steelers are back in the playoffs and the ending feels painfully familiar. The offense stalls, the season ends early, and the same questions come roaring back.

Is this finally the end of the road for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Mike Tomlin?

In this segment, the guys break down why Steelers fans are fed up, why Tomlin himself might be ready for a breakup, and how years of offensive coordinator turnover and quarterback purgatory have led to the same postseason result over and over again. They dive into the post Ben Roethlisberger era, the failure to ever bottom out for a franchise QB, and why nine or ten wins might actually be the worst place to live in the NFL.

The conversation also turns to Aaron Rodgers, his latest early playoff exit, and whether this loss says more about Rodgers at this stage of his career or the impossible situation in Pittsburgh.

Plus, the ripple effects for New York. What a potential Tomlin departure could mean for the New York Jets and New York Giants, why sitting out a year could actually raise Tomlin’s value, and how this all mirrors the Sean Payton and Bill Cowher paths.

Is this the inevitable divorce everyone sees coming, or just another chapter in the Steelers being good but never good enough?

  1. I’m a Steelers fan. Been dialed in for the entire ride: be careful what you wish for. You just might get it. And with no talent to bail him out n it’s ALL on him to build a culture and not piggy back off one like with Cowher…..good luck if u get him. Ppl act like he didn’t have Ben Roethlisberger for more time than Cowher did. He had 15 years of a franchise qb and culture installed. So again…..be careful what u fucking wish for.

  2. Tomlin going to the Jets would give you that same feeling when you were a kid watching Superman give up all his powers for Lois Lane… with the same results.

  3. Huh?!🤔 Ummmm…. To the Jets? It would be a classic Bum loser Woody move to trade first round picks for a .500 coach as your team is below .300 it makes sense to you.

  4. Mike Tomlin was 10-7 in the last 3 season. With 43 year old Rodgers , Mason Rudolph and Kenny Pickett. A roster completely devoid of talent .This man can coach his ass off .

  5. Steelers are in QB purgatory because they were unwilling to trade up in multiple drafts. They essentially cheaped themselves out from getting a quality QB. Plenty of winning franchises manage to draft good Qbs despite not initially having a high draft position.

  6. You’re delusional if you actually think Tomlin would give serious consideration to coach the Jets. After 19 years with one of the class ownerships in the NFL, he’s going voluntarily to one of the WORSE ownerships in the league?

  7. If I’m Mike Tomlin, I’m calling it a career . You had basically 20 great years with one franchise this game is different media will help run you out of town along with the fans and now they’re questioning if you’re a Hall of Fame head coach yeah I don’t need this shit if I’m Mike Tomlin, and I’m moving onto other things in my life
