  1. If you want to win a championship a real long term solution the only player we need to target is Trey Murphy III.. Troy Weaver loves draft capital.. give him 3 1st picks and Caris and 3 2nds and it’s done. The rest of these players do not fit.. Trey can play 2-4

  2. I absolutely hate the idea of LaVine in Detroit. I wish Detroit fans stop looking at his highlights and his box score stats and actually listen to the fans and podcasts of the teams he been on. They don’t like him in Chicago. They dislike him even more in Sacramento. The reason stems that he doesn’t play defense to a disgusting level. Too many fans hand wave it away like he’s going to behave in a way he’s never had before because we’re good or our defense. I Maine having Duncan on the team except Duncan literally didn’t try at all. You’re not covering up a disruptor to his own team’s defense. His scoring is hollow when you take into account the points he will give up. I also don’t care to praise a guy being healthy when he’s not playing outside of shooting. He’s never bought in and I don’t want Detroit holding the bag when ultimately he doesn’t want to play and people understandably turn on him.

MPJ I don’t think will be available for that offer. He’ll likely have other suitors who will raise the price. I don’t trust his body to stay healthy because both Denver and Brooklyn don’t play him in a position where he’s dealing with a lot of physicality. Denver in the later years basically played him like Miami played Duncan. If MPJ is asked to even replicate Duncan or Tobias then I don’t know he even plays the amount of games he has. Also people have to remember you’re not getting a 25 ppg player. You’re getting a 17-20 ppg player because he’s not on a team that can’t score really at all. I don’t trust his defense either.

That Lauri trade is unrealistic because Danny Ainge is on the Jazz. If they didn’t have him then maybe that deal makes sense. As far as we know Danny wants Ausar and we know Trajan isn’t doing that. Lauri is a pipe dream until he’s a free agent or Danny is out.

Trey Murphy is ideal, but there’s literally no reason for NOLA to trade him. He’s on a good team friendly deal, he doesn’t overlap with Fears or Queen, and he’s playing extremely well. If he gets moved it will be from an overpay package or Trey asks out. Is another pipe dream where you’re banking on NOLA to pull a Nico Harrison.

It’s more likely we see one or two small moves that consolidates our bench. The fanbase have to think of moves where we are a third team or the trade is for a bench player like the rumor Sexton move. For example, if Golden State wants Keon and Sabonis then we can help clear that space for the Warriors by possibly snagging Moses Moody. Maybe Bucks tries to add a guy like LaVine or someone and we off to take on Portis. We should look at our contracts as more manageable contracts for one of the 2 teams. Tobias is expiring and the other assets have smaller deals that aren’t long at all. I think any big trade happens in the offseason, but people should remember that trades and signings take two sides. Detroit can’t will something to happen alone.
