  1. The likelihood of Tom Brady not going in scoring with two minutes left even if we get the touchdown in the two point conversion is near zero. I don’t like that he made this call, but it wouldn’t of changed the outcome of the game.

  2. What sucks is that we learned nothing from it because tried this again in the Cards game under a different score scenario

  3. Here we go again

You’re not going for it 4th and goal from the 8. It’s a likely failed situation

So the logic is, if you fail and you’re still down 8, you need to stop brady plus a TD and 2pc just to send it to OT. Down 5, Brady stop and TD wins the game in regulation.

Of course the ideal situation is tying the game. But you still need to stop brady from driving for a GW FG drive. They had plenty of time. And stopping that still just sends it to OT.

Lafleur minimized the game. Get the Brady stop in regulation, attempt a GW TD drive. You would’ve needed something of the sort in OT anyway, and again stopping Brady once more in regulation

  4. I’ve been saying for a while that I think this the play call that broke Matt and how he approached 4th down

Aaron was PISSED about this and MLF got way more ballsy on 4th downs, especially in the red zone. Which…also didn’t pan out lol how many 4th down plays in the red zone resulted in 0 points since this game?

  5. Has any nfl fan base had their hearts ripped out more than packer nation? Call me crazy but I think we could can compete with Seattle, Im in shock still

  6. We did go for it. Three plays in a row, and failed each time. There’s no reason to think a 4th attempt would be any different than the previous 3. And convert a 2 point play? Pretty long odds.

The smarter play was to kick the easy field goal and get one stop on defense. Now we could win the game outright with a TD. None of this play for overtime bs.

  7. I think the reasoning was, our offense is completely stuck in this red zone, we feel like we have a higher chance of putting 3, getting the onside, and marching back for a long distance strike than getting two back to back close distance strikes.

At least we didn’t throw instead of have Marshawn lynch run

  8. Look, I’m not wildly optimistic about MLF at this point. That said, watching the game, I was extremely doubtful that we would convert there. Rodgers had three tries, including one down in which it appeared that he might have been able to run it in (if he didn’t mind getting clobbered), and he couldn’t get it done.

  9. This is a long time ago and you can argue that he’s adjusted and going for it on 4th down has led to multiple division wins recently.

In the 2nd half of the Bears game people have accused him of passing too much (not running enough clock) and running too much (not being aggressive enough).

Meanwhile a kicker misses 3 kicks (punters and kickers are a theme in many of the playoff blunders).

Meanwhile a linebacker cant guard Loveland for shit (same shit happened in 2023 9ers game when Kittle busted the game open).

Meanwhile a tackle gets hurt before the game (Tom got hurt in 9ers game too, Jenkins got hurt against Eagles).

I realize people already have their mind made uo about Lafleur but so do the players, Kraft, Parsons, others that watched from the sideline just want to be back out there leading again to take this team to the next level.

Everybody gets an opinion but mine is run it back with a new kicker, find a way to get a cover linebacker out there instead of Quay in obvious passing situations, save some money by getting rid of Walker and Gary, draft DL and OL depth, and find a corner to add to the room. Maybe a legit tight end 2 that can actually block.

If the line is truly this bad, then this team isnt going anywhere and that is the reason why.

Its in Lafleur and Love to have a coming to god moment and I choose that hope over bringing in more coaches that have the same track record (losing in playoff games).

Also shocker.. fire Bisaccia. What will we be missing when this man is gone?

  10. Remember when they were completely dominating us on defense? That defense was championship calibre and we were not close to their level.

    Context matters.

  11. Yeah…we had AARON FRICKIN RODGERS huckin the pigskin. We were going for the win, since we probably weren’t gonna tie it right there. Cant remember the situation, I was at the game, and pretty tight

  12. Eh I get the decision. Defense was stout the second half. LeFleur wanted to get the ball back and go for the win, not a tie. And they almost pulled it off too

  13. I swear, Packers fans are some of the least football literate fans on the planet.

Go root for the buddy, the ten millionth post whining is really old.

  14. I remember that drive. Arod did the exact same play to Tae 3 times in a row, they all failed. MLF wasn’t gonna let them try a 4th time. It’s still a weird call, but I can see why he wasn’t confident in it

  15. Of all of MLF’s blunders, this one haunts me the least tbh. That Tampa defense was legitimately one of the best in NFL history. Even with MVP Rodgers, it would be a hard ask to play for a TD and subsequent 2pt conversion. If they failed to get the TD, the game would be over right there. At least with a FG you’re guaranteeing yourself a chance. It makes more sense to take the points, get a quick stop, and ask MVP Rodgers to get downfield for a TD with roughly a minute left and all 3 time outs.

What actually killed the game was that the aforementioned quick stop that was needed was ruined by an Kevin King holding penalty (and the missed holding on Gary on that very play but shhh the refs definitely didn’t rig that game for Tampa)

  16. We prob still lose this game regardless cuz even if we scored a TD and got the 2. I highly doubt we coulda prevent tom from getting a FG with 2 mins to go and $ timeouts

  17. Obviously everybody thinks of the Seahawks NFC Championship game but this is the one that really eats at me. Just every aspect pisses me off to this day

  18. So glad we extended the guy who made this decision and continues to make decisions that are counter intuitive to winning
