  1. Article incorrectly states Sullivan won a Stanley Cup in his 1st season with Boston. Never won a Stanley Cup while he was coach there, and was fired after two seasons.

  2. The Rangers have a .333 winning percentage at home with twenty more home games to play. If they continue that pace, they will pick up seven more home wins and fourteen more points. If they do that and win all of their remaining fifteen road games, that gives them forty four more points, finishing with 90 points. Not enough to get to the playoffs, assuming 96 points is going to earn the final wild card spot.

If the Rangers somehow flip the script on the season and win 14 of the remaining 20 at home, they would need to win 11 of their remaining 15 road games to finish with 96 points. Essentially, that is a team with a .489 W% needing to play to a .714 W% across a 35 game stretch.

Clearly, this team is not headed for the playoffs.
