My old assistant principal and mentor taught both Donte and Bones as fifth graders at different schools in Delaware. Right after the trade, he said Bones (who didn’t go by Bones yet) was genuinely so skinny and he couldn’t believe he made the league. He also said he was one of the most absurdly funny and obnoxious fifth graders he had ever had. I’ve been the biggest Bones fan since his high school days and I am ecstatic he’s on this team.
Sidenote, I can’t believe I get to drop Delaware local lore– I knew DiVo was gonna be sick, but TWO stud Delawarean guards on the same team has got me fired up. I know it sounds ridiculous, but our state barely produces any athletes at all.
