I thought he would be just another Jadeveon clowney coming to Seattle for a contract, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth, he’s been that key piece in the defense we’ve been needing and I couldn’t be happier

Like many others, you were wrong.
I remind my cowboys loving friend every week how good tank has been for us. Can’t believe Jerry let go of his two best pass rushers
I mean Clowney was good with us
I thought he’d be washed, and I am super happy I was wrong.
Hands up, I was wrong too
Shocking effort
I was stoked. Why’s does this fan base always assume everything is going to be a bust? Ball knowers thought JS & MM were cooking in the offseason and look where we are now
Expected it to be like Carlos Dunlap, but hoped for it to be Jadeveon Clowney…. It was better than both.
I feel bad being the 13th comment… go 12’s 💪
If you said “ehh” you clearly don’t know football.
A strong d line allows the rest of your defense to focus in on their assignments and shift gears better; you win the trenches, you control the field. DLaw’s presence def helps us dictate how that battle up front unfolds.
I also thought we were a few years too late in signing him, though I’m glad to have been proven wrong.
I think we all underestimated what Mike McDonald can do with literally any player
ALERT
I remember seeing this and being like, it took a decade but we finally got him
I thought he’d be low impact, after all why would another team let him leave so easily?
I failed to consider: Cowboys.
Turns out they would also trade their best pass rusher mid-season then complain about lack of a pass rush threat. Honestly this is more on me for counting on the cowboys front office to have done even negligible due diligence.
I totally underestimated Darnold, but i was ecstatic about D-Law when he was signed. Thought that move went under people’s radar.
I figured he’d get hurt. And I think anyone saying they predicted this level of season from D Law is lying
Dallas is a concept of a football organization. Not shocked he became an All-Pro caliber player on a real team.
I expect Tank Lawrence to have a massive impact on games this postseason. He signed here specifically to get a chance at a ring. He’s going to do everything in his power to reach that goal over the next 3 games.
Remember all the shit with Micah? Dlaw has the last laugh.
0 is probably my favorite hawk this year. Besides 11 ofc.
I felt the same after Murphy’s rookie season. I’ve been dining on fine crow all this season with a fucking smile on my face.
I was excited to have him and remember reading an article earlier in the season after he got hurt that he was already a bust signing.
I thought he was just a rotational piece but it turns out he led with big the cat. 3 more to go
I looked at the success MM had with aging players like Kyle Van Noy and Clowney, who nearly had career years at an age considered washed, and thought why not Demarcus.
Worst case, another veteran presence rotation piece who was still good against the run. Best case, well I’ll admit I wasn’t even expecting this.
I actually liked the move. What I didn’t like was that they signed him after injury but not the guard that I think Vikings signed. Idk if that guard played any better than Bradford.
But that was just my thoughts at the time
I was a really big fan of this signing when it happened. Mike was known in Baltimore for finding aging impact DE’s who could put up numbers. If I remember correctly he got double digit sacks out of Clowney in Baltimore.
I know Seahawks have signed veterans in the past and usually its a showing of decline in their performance. Not in D-Law
This man is a dawg. 👀
I was super fired up when this happened. Despite the age I knew this guy was still a monster.
Hot take ig but I loved Clowney
D. LAW
LETS GO!!!!!!
I thought it was a good signing if for no other reason that depth and veteran leadership. I knew he was good, watched him a lot in Dallas, but I didn’t realize that this late into his career he was still THIS good.
His high-effort and intelligence are just out of this world and I’m so glad we picked him up.
