Jeremy White and Joe DiBiase and Owen Parker discuss the possibility of the Sabres making a big move to add to their team before the NHL trade deadline. I'm not trading Helenius. Any other Amerk can go, along with Quinn and or Krebs, if anybody wants them.
The prospect pool is not as deep as people think. I would be very reluctant to trade picks AND prospects. Only one or the other. Also DONT trade Owen power for the love of god
Need to bring in someone else to coach the power play. Seth never was strong in that area of his coaching and should be someone else responsibility that's had a history of positive results.
I can’t believe you’d even entertain the idea of trading a 24 year old Bo Byram who is playing the best hockey of his career, a player who’s rights you have beyond this year AND a first round pick for 34 year old, always played in a big city/on an expiring contract Artemi Panarin. That’s just wild to me, I don’t get the hype about wanting to trade for him at all.
I’m of the mindset that before the Sabres make ANY goalie moves, particularly one that would involve a Levi trade, that they bring up Devon for a few games to see where he’s at.
I understand that he’s not having a great season, but this took place AFTER the Sabres grabbed Ellis off Waivers and the rumors of him wanting to be traded started. Levi was a stud the previous 2 seasons in Rochester, but being knocked down from #2 on the depth chart to #4 may have taken his motivation to win for this organization away.
I say we bring him up, evaluate the 4 of them, then trade away the 2 that they feel are expendable. Regardless, we need to chop one of the heads off of this 3 headed monster and make a decision on Levi once and for all
A PP specialist would struggle here too, it’s the coach!!!!! Appert should have never been an nhl assistant coach
Ostlund and Helenius are close to untouchable.
Jarmo won’t do much, he needs to avail the roster for a few seasons
I appreciate the trade discussion because trade deadline is coming up but Byram for a 34 year old Panarin or Tuch for Panarin is ridiculous. At first it might seem like a good trade but next year it'll look a lot older. The team is winning right now. I'd need better than a 34 Panarin or a 35 year old Stamkos in order to make a big move. Whew! 😰Good thing the morning staff at WGR55 are NOT the General Manager of the Buffalo Sabres.
If it ain't broke dont fix it, I'll trade picks
Are you insane to think Panarin is a upgrade at 34.
Can’t let byram or power go. Get a rental or 2
Trade Tuch….
Get rid of power for a pick, this guy is horrific, has no speed, no physical presence
Rental players are a joke. Getting an old over paid player at the end of their career, rarley ever works out. If it is not a hockey trade of talent for talent or moving multiple pieces to add a player of a higher caliber. Then don't waste people's time with rentals, 3rd pair defensemen or 4th line players
Joe why are you stuck on Panarin. No thank you
Get Brock Boesner
They didn’t make in season moves with Kevyn Adams!? 🤡
How did the 3 lowest IQ callers get jobs as sports radio talk show hosts!?
Can we trade these guys and a 20 year old Marconi award for radio silence!?
WGR must stand for WEARY, GLIB and REPUGNANT.
Owen Parker doing his best Sean McDermott impression.🤓
If anything, make a trade with San Jose… they need defenseman really bad as they dont really have anyone good signed beyond this season. Trade power for Eklund & a 1st or 2nd if he'll get that kinda return
Call me crazy, trade Dalhin for a big haul. Get tougher and harder players.
We went to Scotiabank for games 6 & 7 of this World Series.
It was awesome
Not to defend Levi here, but Rochester is significantly weaker this year due to call ups, graduations or guys leaving in UFA. A lot of the games he's facing are close to 30+ shots per night with a number of 40+ shots in there too. He still needs to do better, but thought this may be some extra context here.
the best trade for the sabres is only giving up picks or a prospect for an nhl player with term.
