  1. Being a Steelers fan in NY and watching the Jets flail away to even make the playoffs gives me even more respect for Tomlin and the Rooney’s way of doing business. Class acts.

  2. His greatest accomplishment was being an extraordinary mentor and leader to 20 year olds. I think during these 19 years he's been a head coach, the culture of sports kept changing so much that few others found a sustainable way to build trust and nurture the talent on their roster. Kids literally being more influenced by the internet and more empowered by their "brands" was no small challenge. That's what I think he deserved to be celebrated for, because lots of coaches have won with talented players, but few also tried helping them to be better humans at the same time.

  3. Thank you Coach Tomlin. The Steelers stayed classy even through the dramatics. God bless you and your family on your future journey. Black and Yellow strong!

  4. The jig is up the news is out, they finally found me , the renegade who had it made retrieved for a bounty , nevermore to go astray this will be the end today of the wanted man ..

  5. Lifetime Steeler fan here in New England, long before Patriot success. Tomlin was a great Steeler cant take anything away from him, he will be missed. Although all the success, the bar is higher in Pittsburgh always has been always will be. Playing for and or achieving a winning regular season record isn’t the goal, or success. This is the Pittsburgh Steelers, a bellwether, a league leader by example off and on the field, I can go on and on, NFL people and fans understand this

  6. I agree with the notion of having 'stability' in the organization and a sense of consistency. However having said that I would profer the contention that when the team has not fielded a championship level team for over a decade, something needs to change. The fanbase does not need to wait 15 or more years for results just for appearances.

Ticket sales, merchandise sales, viewership, etc. We are ultimately the customer of this team. How long do normal customer markets stick around for a sub par performance every season?

Just the nature of the beast, namely The N.F.L. But I don't worry about him, he made his money from the suckers that bought into it.

    Oh yeah, "Let's Go Stillers!"

  7. 💔 this is crazy man I’m really is disbelief he doing the right thing you can’t make football players do there job they have to already have that in them Mike T is tired I been a Steelers fan since a child I’m 28 I understand the frustration I played football in middle school so I understand the business

  8. I still wanted Mike. For at least a year. But Arthur Smith has proven himself, our offense hadn't looked this radiant ever since Todd Haley. Unfortunately we had terrible OC's until this point, and Arthur has already been a coach.

  9. Good for Mike T. and all the best to him and his family for what they did for this organization and its fans. Yes, even the haters. Great coach and seems to be even a better man. Kudos to the Rooneys once again showing class and not listening to the horde and falling prey to the talking heads and dopey media. They keep it respectful, honest and know whats most important. Three for three in selecting the right coach. Now onto the 4th….I'm sure they will make the right decision again….Even in admitting that none one the current staff is considered a candidate for the job.

  10. Yes, in contention every year under Mike Tomlin; but for what specifically? The AFC North title? Yes. Let's don't confuse that with contending for Super Bowls though. That wasn't done nearly consistently enough from Steeler Nation's pov.

  11. If Tomlin is out there, I was truly the last man standing defending his position and happy with what he had done. I got crapped on by many when defending him to other Steeler fans. Regardless I’m grateful he was our coach. Dude was a mac.

  12. We need an offense-minded genius who can get results no matter whom we play. To be able to outscore and perform all 4 quarters. It may take a few years to get all the pieces, so we must be ready for that as a fan.
