Alexandre Texier today on signing a 2 year, $2.5 million AAV contract extension with the Habs: “It feels good. I’m very happy for these next two years…I want to stay here (in Montreal), this is where I want to play, so (the negotiations) happened rather quickly.”

Seems like a nice guy so really happy for him. Not sure where he will fit with everyone fit though. What’s the general consensus?
I love Texier because he is the type of guy you can put him literally anywhere in the lineup. He’s like a swiss army knife. Reminds me of Armia but a better nose for the net. Or a Slaf lite.

Weird question for our Francophone brothers. How does his French sound? Does he sound foreign? Is it like how Brits sound to Canadians/Americans lol
Good deal for him and the team. We want guys who want to play here. He made that clear!
Now he can settle in with his family and concentrate on hockey 100% knowing he has a home in Montreal for the next two + years.. It will relieve lots of pressure and stress on him. Probably the first time in his career he has felt welcome in a club.
I think he will be good in the playoffs. He seems sneaky and can adapt to all kinds of roles. I am happy for him and looking forward to what he can accomplish.
