  1. Cold. Colder. Coldest.

Never let it warm, till your cold gets colder and your colder gets coldest.

  2. Very smart. If you cam catch balls in the cold without heaters you can certainly do it with them.

  3. Practice in the weather today without heaters would suck, but definitely the right approach lol

  4. If Matt Eberflus was practicing outside with heaters, just another notch in his belt of failure. Every cold weather team should practice in the elements. I remember stories of Belichick prepping the Patriots for extreme cold by making them practice with balls stored in freezers.

  5. love when these comments come from KB. i feel like a few times now he’s said something like “At first we we weren’t into it, now get why” about the live tackling in camp. shows a vet who is willing to say “we didnt see the point at first but now we get why coach had us do that”. ben’s legit. we have a chance to win this cold ass game on sunday. just be the tougher team.

  6. They don’t call Caleb “Iceman” because of his poise and calmness under pressure /jk

  7. Good!! Gets Caleb use to throwing in the cold and receivers catching in the cold!!

  8. Yeah, I’m aware guys like Stafford and Adams have played in cold weather games once upon a time but it’s different when you do it day in day out leading into a game as opposed to “I played in cold weather a few years ago”. Of course I’m not delusional enough to think Stafford can’t win in the cold, but it’s going to be rough.

Beyond just the practice aspect the Rams since Thanksgiving have played 7 games which were in Carolina twice, in LA twice, in domes in Atlanta and Arizona, and in Seattle.

Meanwhile the Bears have played in Chicago 4 times, Philly, Green Bay, and the only moderate climate SF.

When you’ve been doing it for the last 2 months in games and practice it’s not going to really be a shock at all for you whereas if you have not, even if you’ve played in the cold in years past it’s going to be a bit of a shock.

  9. The kind of thing that would backfire if you’re 6-11 instead of 11-6 with a playoff win, but credit to Ben. The meaningful playoff football is often played in the cold and home playoff games will almost invariably be less than hospitable. It’d be malpractice to avoid acclimating to playing in cold weather

  10. If I remember correctly, OZ had some drops the first time the temperature dipped but he made a clutch catch on Saturday.

  11. It’s obvious that Ben Johnson has been coaching this year with the expectation that we’d be playing games in January. He’s been 3 steps ahead at every point.

  12. Getting acclimated to the cold is a thing you definitely don’t to be doing during a playoff game.

  13. This game brings me back to the ‘06 NFC Championship game when all the “experts” said the Saints would destroy us with their speed. Unfortunately for them their speed was built to play in a dome and we destroyed them in the Chicago elements.

  14. You have to acclimate each year to the cold even if you experience it every year. For the Rams, having a a couple “cold” games a year at most is not helpful. And playing in a dome in cold weather isn’t helping shit.

There’s a reason why 40 in March feels a lot nicer than 40 in December for people in cold states.
