Nobody can do this…

NOBODY beats the Anaheim Ducks 10 times in a row — and after nine straight losses, the Ducks finally responded with their most complete effort of the season, defeating the Dallas Stars 3–1. Anaheim pulled off the win without Troy Terry (upper-body injury), Leo Carlsson (injury), and Cutter Gauthier (illness), forcing a simpler, harder style of hockey that actually worked. Lukas Dostal was outstanding in net, while Beckett Sennecke, Mikael Granlund, Chris Kreider, and Jacob Trouba led the scoring in a gutsy team effort. Radko Gudas was a wrecking ball, Drew Helleson made key plays (and blocked a shot with his head), and the Ducks’ defense earned the long-lost “Bombay Jacket.” This game showed exactly why the Ducks rebuild is so frustrating — we know what this team is capable of, and now they’ll try to bring it again in a home back-to-back against the Los Angeles Kings. #hockey #nhl #anaheimducks #dallasstars

  1. 🙌 finally! Helleson was a madman last night, I think he has been listening to you. Clutch sliding save at the end there. Missing the 3 studs forced us to actually play defense. Gudas and Trouba were great. Krieder with another bucket. Beckett with another one. Sad Dosty didnt get the shut out too. Lets go Ducks.

  2. I'm glad I'm not a betting man because 2nd place Dallas against 9 in a row loss Ducks I did not have high expectations but oh boy we came through on that one! Let's get one more!

  3. Best 200 foot performance game all season. Relentless on O and D. Even the old guys were pressuring hard, closing the gaps quick. And Helleson gave the best reason to wear the visor properly. If that was McT, he might have lost an eye.

  4. You can also thank the Kings for playing smash mouth hockey against the Stars the night before. Unfortunately, the puck just didn’t bounce the Kings way. See you guys Saturday!!! GKG

  5. We have to take this win with a grain of salt. While I’m glad we won, we were playing a tired Dallas team who didn’t even have their starter in net. I’m glad it looked like the boys played with intensity and purpose but I need to see consistency before I start feeling better about this season.

  6. The best performance since mid december. The willpower, the speed, the preassure, the physicality. Everything felt like it was turned up tonight, and that is exactly what is needed to win games. A collective effort well worth the result. Time to go on a heater!

  7. Great win, but expecting us to go on a heater. Coming off a 9 game losing streak and winning against a team on a back to back. Is a stretch 😂 good win none the less
