I still remember sitting in the stands in the early 80’s just after game 2 of a doubleheader ended against the Astros in June. It was freezing cold by that time, and I saw two hot dog wrappers in center field fly off in different directions after a gust of wind swept them away. It kind of defied all logic. Only at Candlestick.
At the 1985? All Star game the huge American flag on the field was being held down by dozens of people but gusts lifted parts of the flag high enough some people were off the ground.
Then just before first pitch they released hundreds of helium balloons but half of them just swirled around on the field and had to be chased down by probably the same flag-holder dudes.
