1. Sochan needs at least 10 minutes just for defense and physicality. We’re to soft

2. Barnes been an offensive liability since the final cup game in Vegas. I'd rather Fox or Harper or Julian take his shots. Also, is Sochan that bad that he cannot get PT over Barnes? Like Barnes played 24 minutes, shot 14%FG, 0% from 3pt, and scored 2 points for the whole game. I feel like Sochan could have gotten at least a couple of dunks or lay-up.

3. Spurs are young and lack physical maturity. Team are starting to bully them.

4. Only good thing about this game are the guards didn't shoot as terribly like the past few games, but I still need Fox to get more shot attempts. Definitely needs more than 9 FGAs. Castle still had 5 TOs tho. Also, if Barnes is cold again next game, need Sochan to get at least some of his PT and at least try playing him rather than just letting Barnes brick all those possessions. There was a sequence in this game in the 2nd half where he kept shooting and bricking the ball 3 times one time after another. At least pass the ball if the shots weren't falling.

5. That Coach of the Month award jinxed Mitch. He better not win COTY. Also, rare KJ bad game this season. I feel like that 6MOTY hype also jinxed him.

6. I think it’s time guys, Barnes has his run but he hasn’t been good in a month. We have no reliable shooting on this team. Time to make a trade for someone. We don’t need all these picks we cannot physically play all these rookies so I want us to go into the marketplace and make some trades for shooters

    Tripping foul on Castle for just being on the floor, but not on SGA when he literally held wembys foot with his leg to prevent him from getting the rebound…

    Lastly, even Reggie said "oh, wow. So we are just making it up as we go" when speaking about the refs common foul called against OKC when in Wemby's shooting pocket, when it should have been a flagrant.

    We are still 3-1 against them wich is better than the rest of the NBA… In the past 6 years, can you remember when you were actually 100% upset about loosing a game to the BEST TEAM in the league? We are in a good place SPURS FAMILY!!!

20. Cowboy Johnson was the most physical player for the Spurs out there I believe the same way they was physical with our big man, but not superstar. We need to be just as physical a little bit dirty with Shay. Somebody need to knock shut down. Follow them hard if you touch him it’s a foul so you might as well just foul in real hard knocking down push him down whatever be a little dirty and make it even they was trying to hurt a big man I superstar so in return somebody need to step up and be just a physical and be just a little dirty intentional on their superstar. And Mr. 100 Mr. Barnes I think he need to be on the bench stop shooting all those threes. It’s called the inside game first do anybody know about the inside game? You reached the highest level it’s called inside game first thank you very much.

21. Barnes, castle, Harper, Fox are streaky shooters. Heck the whole team are streaky shooters. Hopefully Vassell can come back soon he opens up
    Space for those lineups to operate. If the spurs go up and down this month might be time to make one move.

26. Fully agree on the comment that we need more spacing, more ball movement and that the ball will find Wemby. We had that when Wemby was not here and the first few games when he came back we continued on that track. But now we are back to just give too often the ball to Wemby far from the rim and no movement around, just do your thing. And with our bad shooting… That is where Vassell is missing as well. Not having Vassell and the new lack of confidence of Harper is killing us too.

27. We played alright, OKC defense was dirty and refs were clearly on their side. That game didn't feel like a 20+ point L to me.

28. I've been saying that since we beat OKC 3 x in a row. After that 3rd win, the Spurs went into a deep shooting funk, losing game after game after game. They lost because of horrendous shooting. They are ranked 30th out of 30 teams in terms of field goal percentage, to include 3 pt shots. Listen, the Spurs cannot win with that type of shooting percentage, I don't care who they play. They will lose. I predict a first round exit in the playoffs.

30. Tired legs and mind, but more importantly stupid basketball. I hate every play we have for Wemby. The box-out play so he can go 1v1 taking 7 seconds to set up more often than not in terrible positions to attack the rim, never creating alley hoops, never putting him at the rim, on top of everyone shooting bricks at all distances. We looked sorry and that’s embarrassing with a 7ft cheat code.

31. Get Chip Engelland back so he can teach these players how to shoot.

32. Fox hasn’t been what I expected when we traded for him. He’s been somewhat of a disappointment this year.

38. This game was the law of averages. All signs have been pointing to the Spurs not winning this game. Lately they haven’t been playing with the same intensity as before Christmas. Did you really think OKC was gonna lose tonight? C’mon at home and had the refs in pocket once again😂

40. 10:45 it’s not like we don’t have enough 3 point shooting on the team . Barnes, and champagnie are just in a slump right now. Castles hand is injured so it’s also affecting his scoring, and Lindy waters doesn’t get enough playing time to establish a rhythm . I think Mitch should take some of Barnes and champagnies minutes and give it to watters and DJG, who’s a really good shot creator, at least until Devin gets back !

41. Barnes is certainly not a liability. The team is still 2nd in the West with Barnes starting every game. He has the most total minutes for the Spurs since he jointed the team. He still has 35+% 3pt shooting. In the NBA the greatest ability is availability. He has a better True Shooting percent than Vassell, Fox, Castle, Harper, and a bunch of non-rotation players. He has a better +/- than Fox, Castle, Johnson, Harper, and a bunch of non-rotation players. His defense is below average in some respects, but there is nothing as bad about his defense that is as bad as say Castle's terrible 3pt shooting + tovs +pfs I might have left out some he was better than. Fox is better in almost every important category than Castle. He would be better if Castle was coming off the bench and they weren't playing together. Castle is 4th worst in the league in tovs pg and he doesn't have the assists and pts to justify it. He's worst in the league in pfs. A lot of those tovs are steals that lead directly to fb points for the other team. His 3pt shooting is so bad (mid 20s %) that teams don't guard him and pack the paint on Wemby. He should be coming off the bench and getting about the same number of minutes as KJ and only against certain lineups on the other team.

42. To simplify the main problem recently is that the Spurs have been playing tougher teams. They went from an easy schedule early in the season to one of the toughest in recent games. The overall win percentage now for the season for all the teams we have played indicates 4th hardest in the NBA. Barnes is certainly not a liability. The other main problem is Castle. Castle is 4th worst in the league in tovs pg and he doesn't have the assists and pts to justify it. He's worst in the league in pfs per game. A lot of his tovs are steals that lead directly to fb points for the other team. His 3pt shooting is so bad (mid 20s %) that teams don't guard him and pack the paint on Wemby. He should be coming off the bench and getting about the same number of minutes as KJ and only against certain line-ups.
