Decent move but they aren't improving from last year yet.
That’s what the Cardinals think of Arenado.
What a STUPID bailout of St. Louis by Arizona. Thank goodness I am a DODGERS fan
For 11m it's fine. They have no in house options that are better sadly. Lawlar is a total bust and should be traded for pitching.
Arenado sucks lol
I’m suprised that the Dbacks didn’t want to rock with Blaze Alexander is a real baller who is better than Arenado both offensively and defensively. and Jordan Lawlar has to play at some point, heck why not trade him for something now? I wanna see Lawlar in Pittsburg or Cinci.
Goldschmidt was top 5 vs LHP, would sell tickets and be good platoon parter to Pavin
Arenado to 1st.
As a Snakes fan, its fine. Worst case they DFA and eat $11M but that means Lawlar and Pavin both are raking. Arenados drop off seems “Rendon-esque”, where he just didnt care. He waived to come here.. watch him rake. For a nobody and $11M/2. Snakes ATE. Move him to 1st to take time for Pavin. Lawlar stays at 3B to see who he is. Blaze LF and anywhere else hes needed.
Hell yeah we want Goldy but give us some RP PLEASE

So glad you were wrong when said you didn’t think he would get traded. This had to get done. No way around it. They had to pay a hefty price
Dbacks fan. Was wtFFFFFF when I saw this but after seeing the cash considerations and prospect cost, I low key love it. Get off the Lawler crap, hes shifting to the OF.
Arenado will play 1st and Blaze will play 3rd prety simple. Gold will come in as a DH, Lawlar the fraud will be traded for pitching and we'll probably get whoever is left from relief free agency.
Wasn't springer washed last off season. The reality is no one knows until the season starts. Everyone though Walker was good before last year.
Not much to lose getting Nolan Arenado. He’s a hard worker and he probably would have played more if the Cardinals didn’t go with youth last year. New place, new energy, hopefully. If he can just get his WAR number up to 2-2.5, which is possible, then he will help the Diamondbacks. Maybe 12 to 16 HRs and a .265 BA.
At least for the Cardinals, the Rockies are paying $5M of Arenado's $42M
I like the trade. I think Arenado needed achamge of scenery

I feel for that angels fanbase just imagine knowing that you didn't have to give up anyone big for Nolan only to have a another miss

I think this is a smart trade for the Dbacks.
