…I shit you not, I got a sports betting email as I was typing this, I deleted it. …then got a hard rock ad on YouTube as I was typing the last sentence. I’m not implying conspiracy, we all get ads 24/7. The timing isn’t even weird, it just sucks.
This is dystopian. Sorry for the mood shift. I was making a joke then got a quick reminder that it’s 2026 and everything is still monetized because why wouldn’t it be. I’m sure Reddit is probably making money off of me using the word ‘betting’ right now. I’d hate it here in 2026 if the Lightning weren’t still owning everyone.
I obviously like our chances against the Blues, but this is *exactly* the sort of situation where upsets always happen in this league. Bolts are absolutely rolling, on the verge of beating a franchise record, and they’re facing a team that sucks. Don’t be surprised if the Blues somehow end up winning it.
