Ranger Suárez Pivots to Boston — This Was My Biggest Fear
Ranger Suárez landing in Boston is exactly the scenario I warned about on last night’s livestream — and now it’s reality.
In this episode, I break down why Boston pivoting to Suárez matters, how it impacts the AL East landscape, and why this move should absolutely have Orioles fans paying attention. We’ll talk fit, timing, roster construction, and what this signals about the market moving forward.
This isn’t hindsight — this was the concern before it happened.
If you’re following the Orioles, the AL East, or the pitching market closely, this is one you don’t want to miss.

Zach looks like We are getting zero top end pitchers. Elias back a sleep at the wheel again.
I give you props Zach , you were right last night. But I'm glad Suarez didn't sign here. First of all, he didn't want to be an Oriole, and second of all, I don't think he's anymore than a #3 starter at best. I have faith in Mike, and I believe we will be glad Suarez didn't sign here. Here's my prediction, this will come back to bite Boston.
Gallon is not better than Efflin? Efflin is a serious injury risk as he has been for his entire career.
IF we were gonna get Ryan, we wouldn't have made that deal for Baz. Although I love Ryan or Alcantara, who is no on the block now as Miami has traded 2 already.
Elias waited for Suarez and it cost him….
Peralta would cost you players and money. Ryan, only players.
As Jim Palmer said, prospects are suspects. For a really good young pitcher, you trade suspects for a proven pitcher. Why does fans want to blame Elias for every player that doesn't come here, Suarez didn't want to be an Oriole, so I'm glad he's not coming here.
I guess I'm in the minority, but I'm glad they didn't sign Suarez.
Trade market for another arm with few years control
3 year 90 million for Framber
We have a top 5 starting 9, great offense make our pitchers better. Can be better but relax a bit
Efflin was the big prize pitcher
This team practically never signs or acquires a slam dunk top starter. The only exception is Corbin Burnes for 1 year. If you want to win a championship you must have 2-3 top line starters period. We can hope Bradish and Rogers are 2 but that is hope, not a sure thing.
Mlb network said Peralta tried several times for an extension with Milwaukee and was denied. So it would seem we could trade for him then extend him
They'll get somebody it just will be Gallen or Giolito
It's refreshing to hear someone talk about still addressing the offense. I'm perfectly fine trading Cowser and Holiday for pitching. I'm not attached to either one of them. Imagine what they could've gotten for some of these guys before they were exposed. Ranger and King were the two starters I was most interested in.
Zac you nailed it. Spot on. Hopefully Elias realizes that we have to overpay (or offer more) to get the player we 'need'. Let's face it, if the Mets would have matched the O's offer to Alonso, we wouldn't have him.
Good i dont like Ranger
Zach! Since you can predict the future.. Give us the Power Ball Numbers for this week!!!!!
Go Birds!!!!!!
SKUBAL
How about Vasquez
I agree framber but he probably would want 5 years
Our rotation as it stands cannot compete in the AL east against Toronto or the Yankees
