Waiting for Seahawks season to end

  1. It’s very common team vacancies wait until playoffs are over and then grab the coordinators of teams in championship. Nothing new

  2. There are so many “sources tell me” posts out there. Matt isn’t saying shit. We’ll know when the Falcons announce it. Everything else is clickbait at this stage, in my opinion. They hopefully at least will get to interview Harbaugh.

  3. Multiple sources believed we were hiring Belichick two years ago.

We have typically been pretty good at keeping these kinds of things close to the chest. So not really sure if I believe this, but we’ll see.

  4. The Shanahan tree of under center rhythm passes over the middle fits our QB who doesn’t go under center and is best known for a live arm outside the numbers

  5. Why would you base your OC hire on the needs or preferences of your injury prone question mark of a QB? It paints you into a Penix shaped corner for the coach’s entire tenure.

  6. I mean honestly from a personnel perspective, kubiak offense is ideal when you have the best RB in the league.

  7. this guy is a complete hack. if he’s right it’s by accident. he’s most famous for saying that odell beckham was going to hold a press conference announcing that he’s gay.

  8. I’ll play the bad guy here . While kubiak is 1A for me I do have concerns about 5 teams in 5 years .

Of course if ML is let go from Green Bay he becomes my 1A with Harbaugh at 1

    Edit* hit send before finish

  9. If I can’t have Mcdaniel then he’s a decent fall back, I just want that Shanahan offense back

  10. Penix is a terrible fit for the Shanahan offense. That being said, while they will never come out and say this, I think everyone in the organization probably realizes that Penix is not the guy, but we’re stuck with him for at least another year so they will talk him up and say he’s our franchise QB.

But I can promise you the first task of the new GM will be to find our next QB, likely in the 2027 draft.

  11. #1 thing any desirable HC candidate is going to look at is QB situation. Big ruh-roh. Yes it’s awesome to have arguably the best RB in the league and also a seemingly hands-off, chill owner but dunno if that’s enough to be attractive

  12. I don’t think Matt Ryan is telling anyone lmao. He’s keeping this real close to the chest, as he should.

  13. Kubiak likely? Seems believable. Perfect offense for Penix? Definitely not. Non-Cunningham GM expected? Nope.

  14. Just hoping Lefleur doesn’t get signed and somehow everything changes to where we get Lefleur instead of kubiak 🙏🏼

I don’t mind kubiak but Lefleur would have been perfect fit imo

  15. There’s a guy up here in Seattle called Hawk Blogger, self made media guy, who is close with the team.

He said about a week ago he was hearing Kubiak to Atlanta was close to a done deal. I think it was before McDaniel was fired.

But Matt of all people is going to have a much different perspective because HE knows better than anyone what it’s like to be in that system in the 1st year.

Julio had his best season ever. Matt had a little bit of a turnover problem.

Kubiak’s first year in Seattle JSN goes off like Julio and Darnold has an insane year but a bit of a turnover issue.

Ryan wanting Kubiak makes perfect sense.

  16. Seahawks fan here. We hate Kubiak and he’s a horrible coach, low character guy.

Seriously though, Your team is pretty much perfect for this system. Bijan is going to feast and Penix won’t be required to play hero ball to keep you in a game. I’d hate to lose him so soon

  17. I believe the plan was always Ryan-Cunningham-Kubiak. I think 2/3 of that plan is already set, but then McDaniel got fired and a wrench got thrown into that plan, now either is entirely possible.

Personally I’m in the McDaniel camp, but wouldn’t fault him if he wants to take some time off from the stress of HC and do a year or two at OC with the Eagles or Lions.
