1. Everyone saying it's sad to see Tomlin leaving. Just 3 weeks ago, you guys wanted him fired before the 3rd Quarter of the Browns' loss.
   I myself think the team is better off without him.
   He walked into a Cowher dynasty Super Bowl win.
   Winning record? Yeah, keep winning games that don't fvcking matter!
   Rebuild, regroup, and win more Super Bowls.

5. Great show as usual, fellas. So, since the Steelers have Tomlin's rights through 2027, hypothetically could he step away for a year and then come back and coach the Steelers? By no means do I think that will happen, but I have a big excrement eating grin on my face just thinking about all of the fans who would lose their s**t if that were to happen, haha 😁

7. Some of this is so 5 years ago. More than anyhthing, I want the next HC/OC to focus on continuing to build the Oline and creating a physical run game. Get back to being the Pittsburgh Steelers. Just doing that will make devolping the next QB much easier because our offense won't rely solely on hum.

9. Cowher was a DC for 3 seasons consecutively before being hired by Pittsburgh. He was a DC longer than a STC. Weird characterization of his background.

10. Give AJ Brown a 1 year contract with PIT and let Rudolph do his thing with DK, AJ, Autsin, & Gainwell. Switch Jonnu Smith to a RB and Pick up a Vet center. Guaranteed success.

11. Last time they had back to back losing seasons 1998- 1999 total of 7 losing seasons from 1980 -2007 when they hired coach Tomlin.

13. I will say this and Matt may remember but it was about this time last year I wrote that The QB position there wasn't much need to go out and get a big name. You could save the money pay the vets and take a run at a 2026 draft pick.
    Here we are it's 2026 and we are in a slightly better position than we were in 2025, more draft capital (Which lets face it we won't have next year). THe people you want to keep on the team the contract is due (Jalen Warren, TJ Watt, Alex Highsmith ETC). We are basically where I thought we were last year BUT with for more draft picks.
    Its another rebuilding year whoop a de do… Stop expecting the next franchise QB to fall in your lap cause with NIL … I don't think it's going to happen. Maybe you go out and you get a Jaderian Price or Mike Washington. Maybe you get a full back/runningback like Pittsburgh Native Alex Tezca. Maybe you are setteling for a defensive pick Peter Woods, TJ Parker or Rubin Bain JR.
    Maybe you trade down for a next years first round pick have two. You could pull a Jets and have three going into next year. If they are great and you suck then there you go top round pick. If they suck and you are decent there you go top pick and well middle of the road. Trade with the Jets, Trade with the Cards… what is the worse that can happen.
    We kinda really should have done it last year. I think we would have been better off than having Arron Rodgers (I don't think he brought a lot and Tomlin brought out the best in all the players) Maybe we ended up where the Browns are, Maybe we didn't.

14. If I am coming in as HC for the Pittsburgh Steelers first thing I'm doing is making sure we sure up what we can in the Front Seven. I'm gonna argue strongly to get what we can in the Secondary cause man was that the worst part of the game last year. 28 out of 32 and most of the guys we went out and got … got hurt. I would tell Omar Kahn get me what you can in rounds 2 and 3 but man … that doesn't look promising. try to keep Hayward Warren and Gainwell. Hopefully Austin.
    I'm going to try to steal Heather Marini from Brown (which I would look at as a HC.) Smith is going to be gone lets be honest. I'ld pull her in talk Run game, RPO game, QB's we have what weapons to keep, what ones to trade away. Start building a 2027 offense that's young locked into 3-4 year contracts. If I can't get her try to get someone with that kind of background. Someone who has built a solid up and coming NCAA team.
    If I can not bring up my DC internally I'm looking for him. Maybe get Ron Roberts (Honestly another good HC prospect) Someone who knows the 3/4 well but also can use what we got. He played a lot of 3 high and 5 dime. He knows Secondary.
    March I'm looking at what I can Plug and play. What FA's are on the market for the run game, What can I get for my O-line. What can I get in the Tight End.
    April I am hitting the draft with 10 picks. I'm drafting two safties one that can play slot the other that can play free or strong. Third roung I'm drafting a power back or MAYBE a QB. Building the O line with my two forths. fifth round I am getting D linemen. final picks Rolling the dice on a full/half back, Corner and center that can also play on teams if need be. Pick up some undrafted FA's in the wide receiver department, a QB so there's four in camp, and whatever else is a deal out there.
    I'm taking that playbook putting some 22-Is and 12 ace in there stop relying on the shotgun. If I still have Calvin Austin and Connor Hayward I'm getting them more involved in the running game. I'll be working with Ron to get some 3-3 3 high sets on the defensive side. Confuse the OC's out there. Play really conservitive in pre-season , play agressive with those new sets in the first three games. Start working in the old play book for the rest of the year.

20. Thankfully, I think that the "Tomlin leaving" news has made it easier for Steelers Nation to get over the grief of Sunday night! I'm not thankful that Tomlin is leaving, the opposite actually. I think he was awesome. Just that we can talk about his news and not the Texans loss which makes us so sad! 😅Here We Go!
