ESPN’s Dan Graziano on the Dolphins head coaching position:
“Too good, right? Don Shula’s grandson coaching Don’s old team? Going into this process, I felt very strongly that Shula would get a head coaching opportunity. The Shula/Miami connection is too good to pass up. But the Dolphins’ job just opened, and it’s too early to know the eventual top candidates. Shula is well-regarded around the league, and there always seems to be at least one McVay assistant who gets a head coach job.”
Chris Shula, 39, is from the South Florida area. Shula went to St. Thomas Aquinas high school in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Shula began coaching in 2010 at Ball State before joining the Rams organization in 2017.

Would you hire Chris Shula as Dolphins HC? Type ‘Y’ for Yes or ‘N’ for No
Three things I like; His last name is Shula. He is a defensive coordinator. He has worked under McVay. What I don't like: Really young, first time HC, and he will be working with arguably the worst roster in the NFL.
As I said the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Should have kept MM for another year. 2026 will be a throw away year anyway. None of these guys setting the house on fire. I say Harbough will be a flop with the Giants. He doesn’t have Lamar he will be exposed. ‘Phins on a coaching merry-go-around these guys will not be coaching or managing anything in Miami 3 years from now. Packers have a in bred philosophy for coaching hires. GB South will be a complete disaster.
Camp or Shula should be the choice
Looks like, with our situation, we are going to have to settle for the coaches no one else wants. Thank you McDanial. Thank you Tua. Thank you Ewers (not so much Ewer's fault — he's a 7th round pick who now falls into a QB1 slot by default).
I’m old. I saw Shulas entire career. I say any blood of the Don deserves a shot.
If the Steelers want him then I want him….
Stefanski would not want this job anyway..he will get better offers.
He's not ready, not nearly enough experience. He needs 2 more years minimum
I think kubiak would be a better choice right now
Stay away from Saleh — please. The man is a good DC but a terrible HC. Jesse Minter if you can get him and I would welcome Shula, what a story that would be in Miami. Agree that Hafley through Sullivan will be the HC — not very exciting….waiting for us to recruit the Packer's waterboy next.

No.
Chris Shula 💯🐬❤
If Shula wants to coach this team we better hire him because I don't see any candidates wanting to come here unless every other job besides cleveland is filled
That is a stupid prediction. He will be eaten alive by comparisons. I really hope Dolphins are not that stupid to hire this guy. Nothing against him, but his first HC job can't be at Dolphins.

The 72 & 73 no name defense were so good, offenses found it hard to score. Shula once said, "if the opposing team can't score, you'll win." The NFL hates a good defense because scoring makes a exciting game.

Everything comes full circle, and for the Shula name to be connected with the dolphin job just says it all that’s his grandfather, bringing him home and getting this franchise where it used to be when he was under the helm. It’s a perfect fit great defensive mind and the Shula name carries a lot of weight in the dolphin. Organization would be a great hire . Would love to see it. Let’s fucking go pins up baby.
Last HC that came from GB was Philbum – let that sink in
Shula 100%
Absolutely not! Hiring Shula is not worth it. If he would happen to be the worst HC ever, because of who he is, we can't just get rid of him. We would be stuck with him for years until it became politically the correct time to release him.
FYI – I’m sure you heard early this morning that Harbaugh has agreed to terms with the Giants.
Chris Shula is 39. Don Shula was 39 when he took over the Dolphins.
Since we had zero chances with Harbough Im ok with giving Shula a shot.

Klint Kubiak for me. There would be no soft offense anymore. Mike and Grier built a flag football offense. About time we have a physical one. Would feel good to be the « agressor » for a change
