“Raiders & Kevin Stefanski now comes into view. Goal MUST BE hiring the right coach to develop Mendoza, develop the young O-Linemen. An appeal for Raiders? Money wise Stefanski won’t be expensive as Browns gave him the big money extension. Could structure deal that forces Browns to pay large portion of salary.

Stefanski will build a solid staff. D-Coordinator 2-3 options. Jonathan Gannon, Nick Rallis or Dino Vasso?”

  2. I’m good on people who just finished failing. I’d rather roll the dice on a new coach with potential

  3. Tom Brady is about to have ALOTTT in common with Michael Jordan if he hires stefanski after Pete Carroll

  4. Never been a fan of stefanski after how things ended with Baker, but will hold off on judgement if he gets hired, just want some wins man.

  5. If the Raiders get Stefanski, it will be absolutely crucial that they hire an OC AND a QB coach that can teach Mendoza how to play in the Stefanski system. It was very apparent during his Browns tenure that only a veteran (Flacco) could run his offensive scheme. Stefanski is a good offensive coach, but I’m not sure about his teaching abilities.

  6. Develop[ Mendoza with the guy who, dumped Baker after he took them to the playoffs and then last year proceeded to take every shot at QB he had and watch them both fail?

  7. Someone else just posted it’s definitely Kubiak 😣 seems like no one knows anything

  8. Ah yes, the offensive coach who failed on offense entirely. In order to believe in Stefanski you must also convince yourself that he had absolutely no input at all in any Browns personnel decisions regarding the offense

  9. Develop Mendoza? Looks at him running off Baker, failing with Watson, and how he handled the the carousel of QBs and rookie QBs this season… no thanks

  10. Which of these browns teams was he supposed to win with? He’s found ways to win despite incompetence everywhere. I’d love him if we can build a team

  11. “Hire the right coach.”

What brilliant insight. Way to go, champ.

  12. He broke Baker Mayfield. Developed no one in Cleveland. Why repeat the same mistakes?

  13. Terrible choice. How many QBs were chewed up and spit out during his tenure. He was totally classless during Baker’s departure.

  14. Who is Chad Forbes and why does what he says matter? I only care if it comes from Schefter or Rap, I’m sorry.

  15. A retread with a historically bad franchise is tricky. It could be the coach and/ or the ownership. But he did recently receive some of the lowest marks when players rated their coaches if the NFLPA surveys are to be taken seriously.

  16. What happens if you wait for Kubiak, and then you don’t get Kubiak. We don’t want to be sifting through our 4th and 5th choices because we waited too long.

  17. as a browns fan, stefanski is the worst possible coach to develop a QB. everyone he touches turns to shit

  18. reasons why I like stefanski:

    – 2 playoff appearances with the browns

    – dealt the worst hand we’ve ever seen (Watson trade for 3 1st rounders etc).

    – was 37-30 pre Watson trade

    – took Joe flacco to the playoffs AFTER Watson trade

    – saddled with Dillon Gabriel and shadeur sanders as qbs this season

  19. I mean, he did take the Browns to the playoffs twice in five years. Has been COY twice. Not a sexy potential choice but could be a lot worse.

  20. Pros: Stefanski had the Browns rollin prior to FO/Ownership getting rid of all first round picks for his entire tenure for Watson, who then imploded. Clearly he has the juice to make a struggling franchise work.

Cons: he got fired for things being ass.

    I dunno man

Edit: I want Kubiak or Minter, but would be happy with Saleh or McDaniel

  21. Not thrilled with how Stefanski handled the QB situation in Cleveland this year. We need someone to develop Mendoza. Hope they find someone else.

  22. Not my first pick for coach… please just hire a young OC to come in and run this thing. Kubiak or Lafleur please

  23. Honestly im more in on stefanski than kubiak right now. IF stefanski had nothing to do with the qb situation on the browns

  24. Eh, immediately after the season ended it was Flores, who we haven’t even interviewed. The other day espn, I think, posted a article predicting Salah as our next HC… another guy not even on our interview list. So I guess props to this dude at least bringing up a guy we’ve actually interviewed. Aside from that I’m just assuming no one knows anything and are just talking to talk until there’s actual news. Also, if Spytek was blown away by Stefanski, what’s the hold up? There’s no need to wait if he’s the guy.

  25. I’m fine with this, but I have serious questions about his track record with Cleveland QBs.

  26. I’m not high on Stefanski at all. I know he got coach of the year twice, but nothing really seems to stand out me.
