Rodgers apologized to Tomlin

  1. Every “fan” who said this guy didn’t play his heart out for this organization, and us fans can eat shit. I wish we got this guy before he went to the Jets. We might have actually won something. Thank you Rodgers. It was a pleasure 🤝.

  2. He cared and did his best. The body couldn’t match what his mind was capable of anymore and the supporting cast of players and coaches weren’t up to the task either. Honorable end to his career if this is the finish

  3. Fuckin’ A. We’re really going through the “bitter” part of “bittersweet” right now. And likely will be for a bit.

  4. Rodgers is the real deal.. I wonder if Smith apologized for his horrendous play calling..

  5. I feel like a total POS for having some bad thoughts about Aaron and his role in Pittsburgh after the Texans game.

    Damn…

  6. I wasn’t an huge fan of him coming here but he seems like he relished the responsibility of being a leader of the team. May not be a fan of his personality but have a lot more respect for Rodgers the player.

  7. Thank you A rod. You didn’t do what we hoped, but I’ll be damned if you didn’t change my opinion and heart on the subject. Forever fan of yours after this season.

  8. I feel the one thing you couldn’t knock about Rodgers was his arm strength and his accuracy. It has to be crushing knowing that you just can’t make plays with your legs anymore once the pocket dissolves. I don’t know. I’m not an analyst or nothing. But Aaron Rodgers at the helm felt right. He was obviously not the best option. Darnold might’ve brought us what we needed. Again, I don’t know. Something about this season just felt different. I was one of the fans who wanted to clear house after this season, but nonetheless I was ride or die Tomlin and Rodgers. Maybe I’m delusional but I thought they could string something together. I truly think the hardest step to the superbowl was the game against the Texans. They might go all the way. Please excuse this block of text I had a lot to say lol

  9. It’s crazy to me to look back at the all the off-season discussion last year regarding Rodgers and how much we as a fan base did not want him. And then seemingly by week 1 we were fully bought into him. He was exactly what this team needed this season and he handled himself with class and humility the whole way.

  10. There was something different this year. Roller coaster for sure but overall good leadership, which has been absent in recent years.

  11. Reading The Athletic article that quote came from was tough. Really respect what it meant to them all and wish it had ended different.

But hey. Pro sports is a heartbreak business.

  12. rodgers did his part. he came in, played the most competent QB we have seen in about 10 years, and wasnt the jackass that he was painted to be. Nothing to be sorry about.

  13. Man I’m satisfied with Rodgers this season, he wasn’t a distraction a lot thought he would be, held people accountable, and played pretty well all things considered.

I appreciate him and Coach T, but the 4th quarter Monday night was the nail in the coffin for this regime, coaching and roster wise. We looked old, tired, uninspired, and it’s time to officially move on.

Thank you Rodgers, thank you Coach T, both legends. Time for the Steelers to live back up to its legendary name.

  14. I think the state of Pennsylvania was cursed this season. Steelers, Eagles, PSU, Pitt….

  15. I’ll always remember Rodgers time in Pittsburgh fondly and I appreciate him bringing accountability to an offense that lacked it for years.

    Even if it wasn’t perfect

  16. Rodgers did way more than you can reasonably expect from a 42 year old on a one year deal. Anyone hating on him is a tool

  17. No matter what else you have to say about Rogers. He actually cared about winning. You would see him get miserably frustrated, angry and call out guys who screwed up. Far too many quarterbacks nowadays are just, oh shucks. We’ll get them next time.

  18. Nothing to be sorry for. It was a pleasure watching him play this season. Made me realize what we’ve been missing at that position. He cared,, embraced his teammates and the city, not much more you could ask. If he had more guys that could get open we would have seen another level.

  19. Mediocre Mike should apologize to Rodgers for enticing him here and then giving him crap to work with.

  20. It’s crazy seeing some of the comments talking about Mahomes or Allen being able to win that game on this team when the same Texans D beat the shit out of them on far superior rosters than ours smh.

  21. Rodger’s impressed and surprised me this season. He did what he could with a shaky O line and a Temu receiver corps. And he took it seriously and seemed to appreciate hardworking teammates.

  22. Not Roger’s fault. No O line all season. The receivers fell apart. End of story.

  23. He showed up everyday, every game prepared. Poured his heart and sole into every effort. As they say “He left it all on the field” not a once of grit was spared, he gave it his all.

    Nothing but respect!

In life we are rarely judged on our best days! Cynical creatures we are. If I judged you on your worst day, what would I say of you, what would I think of you? If we did that to everyone we know – we would have no friends.
